“I don’t have any response," Self told a small group of reporters. "I can’t talk about that, and I’m not meaning to be opaque about this at all. I just feel like our stance is still the same. We’ll comment when the time is appropriate, and the appropriate time is when this is done, and certainly that will be the case. But I’m not going to make comments day to day on what is and has been said. We’ll know obviously in the next couple weeks what this is all about.” 247 Sports

That is the answer I would expect him to give. But for him to say that in a couple weeks they'll find out what this is all about is total BS (pun intended). He absolutely knows what it is all about.

Whoa. So much for "this was happening behind the scenes and Self had no idea" approach.
"We are here to help" could be interpreted in many ways. Maybe they meant someone from Adidas would be sure that the newer textbooks in the study lounge would be put out during visits so that it didn't look like the athletes were being forced to use 2nd hand textbooks all the time. What? Not plausible?

New equipment in the advanced chemistry classes that his players so often frequent?

FBI better get to the bottom of that too while they're at it.

Presently, Ku is in the clear. The canary, in fact, says he did not tell Ku coaches about the money. So, there's a lot of circumstantial evidence but nothing directly tying Ku to Adidas player payments.

Are you telling me young black kids don't want to go live in Lawrence Kansas without extra motivation?

Saw that KU uncovered that there were wire transfers from Gassnola to Billy Preston's mother. And I guess there are text messages where Preston admits lying to KU/NCAA about the payments to try to get eligible. He lied and said that Gassnola and his mom were in a relationship.

The canary says he never told any Ku coaches about payments to players or their families. As long as that's the evidence, Ku is in the clear. We can make all the circumstantial conclusions we choose, they're obvious, but it doesn't get to Bill Self or his staff.

Unfortunately, I think you are correct

You.. can be a millionaire.. and never pay taxes! You can be a millionaire.. and never pay taxes! You say.. “Steve.. how can I be a millionaire.. and never pay taxes?” First.. get a million dollars. Now.. you say, “Steve.. what do I say to the tax man when he comes to my door and says, ‘You.. have never paid taxes’?” Two simple words. Two simple words in the English language: “I forgot!” How many times do we let ourselves get into terrible situations because we don’t say “I forgot”? Let’s say you’re on trial for armed robbery. You say to the judge, “I forgot armed robbery was illegal.” Let’s suppose he says back to you, “You have committed a foul crime. you have stolen hundreds and thousands of dollars from people at random, and you say, ‘I forgot’?” Two simple words: Excuuuuuse me!!”
