I'm old thus listen to a bunch of old stuff.....I have been listening to Greta Van Fleet like gangbusters lately though....a complete Zeppelin rip off....but if you are going to rip something off, that is a good place to start.

What's Molly's connection with ISU?? I saw that she was wearing this shirt at a concert in North Carolina as well. Can't find any connection though.

My guess is that sweet-ass shirt made it to a thrift store somewhere and she thought it looked cool.

Anybody listening to anything like Alvvays (above), Middle Kids, Big Thief or any of the other million breathy female vocalist bands/artists right now?

I really like Fitz and the Tantrums, and they were excellent live when they were in Des Moines.

However, I prefer their first album Picking Up the Pieces because it had more of a classic Motown sound. Their newer stuff is a lot more poppy, and of course more successful. I still prefer the first song I ever heard from them.

I’m probably way behind the times, but I just heard “She’s Kerosine” by The Interrupters on the radio the other day and said to myself: “Holy ****! They sound exactly like Rancid!” Then I checked out their latest album and lo-&-behold all the members of Rancid join the band on a track. Awesome stuff.

First time I heard this on the radio I said to my wife, "Wow, 1995 wants their dope ska song back!" Great change of pace.

Forgot I had this;it is to me Folk. But, it isn't at all - haunting Country schtick. Woods and prairies I knew as a kid fit the sentiment.

Rockin' blues and lyrics like below will make you smile, "Choctaw Bingo" by James McMurtry.

Strap them kids in
Give 'em a little bit of vodka in a cherry coke
We're going to Oklahoma to the family reunion for the first time in years
It's up at uncle Slayton's cause he's getting on in years
You know he no longer travels but he's still pretty spry
He's not much on talking and he's just too mean to die
And they'll be comin' down from Kansas
And from west Arkansas
It'll be one great big old party like you never saw
Uncle Slayton's got his Texan pride
Back in the thickets with his Asian bride
He's got a Airstream trailer and a Holstein cow
He still makes whiskey 'cause he still knows how
He plats that Choctaw bingo every Friday night
You know he had to leave Texas but he won't say why
He owns a quarter section up by Lake Eufala
Caught a great big ol' blue cat on a driftin' jug line
Sells his hardwood timber to the shipping mill
Cooks that crystal meth because the shine don't sell
He cooks that crystal meth because the shine don't sell
You know he likes his money he don't mind the smell......

I really enjoy Rainbow Kitten Surprise! Nobody else ever seems like they've heard of them.
They are great! Ever listened to Mt. Joy? They're touring together and coming up to MN. Thinking about buying tix.
