Well I was basing it off being suspended indefinitely and usually first time owi is one game minimum plus the fact that cmc said he had been doing very well.He wasn't announced as out for the game when I posted that.

I love this move by CMC. Let these kids call home to Mommy and explain to her why they're getting suspended from the team indefinitely and possibly even risking their full ride. That ought to go over well.
And I hope Mom or Dad even calls CMC to ask what's going on, because CMC will likely tell them straight that their kid is screwing around and doing stupid things and not following the rules set forth by the team, and if they keep it up, they'll find themselves sent home and lose their scholarship.
Also, there's an ad for flag football refs for $9 a game. It was $5 a game in the mid-80s. I don't think they're keeping up with inflation.Okay nevermind. Check out the link and photo at the bottom that shows one of the guns the cops acquired. Wow.

Having it, or designing/selling a B.B. gun that looks like that? Also, there's an ad for flag football refs for $9 a game. It was $5 a game in the mid-80s. I don't think they're keeping up with inflation.
Can't BELIEVE how realistic that gun is. Very poor decision-making.
Bumping this for a little update (from my own perspective) on these guys.
We had seats behind the ISU bench the other night. Scates, Taylor-Cortez and Kyle were on the sidelines (uniform only). The press release from the OP says they would not be involved in any football activities or have access to facilities but they were there. Morton might have been there too but I don't recall seeing him.
Looks like everyone must have served their suspension but they'll redshirt for sure if they're not even suiting up.
Those guys were really hyped on the sidelines. If Scates can play football half as well as he can dance, we're all in for a big treat next year!Bumping this for a little update (from my own perspective) on these guys.

I can't dance or play football so I think the correlation is strong. Those guys were really hyped on the sidelines. If Scates can play football half as well as he can dance, we're all in for a big treat next year!

Great to hear. Scates might be a perfect suprise weapon for BP in Austin.
I'd have to think that all four are so far behind everyone else at this point that it would be surprising to see any of them for a few games at least.
I'll be shocked if any of them play at all this year. We're 6 games in and they aren't even dressed on the sideline. It's not like we are thin at wide receiver either.Scates won't be. He is a receiver. He has speed and it's not like they quit working out. Pretty sure the ones with talent will be able to step in pretty quick. Although we will probably play them all 4 games and then redshirt them. That would be my guess.
I tend to agree with that. Maybe the Incarnate Word game.I'll be shocked if any of them play at all this year. We're 6 games in and they aren't even dressed on the sideline. It's not like we are thin at wide receiver either.

That would depend on just how long they were out of all team activities. Somehow, I suspect that wasn’t “until WVU”, that just happened to be the first time they were on the sidelines.I'd have to think that all four are so far behind everyone else at this point that it would be surprising to see any of them for a few games at least.

Six weeks of no team activities would be incredibly harsh.
