CMC stays as long as.)

1. JP pays what he and his staff are worth

2. He feels like he can recruit the players he needs to win to Ames

3.) His wife and kids are happy, healthy, and enjoy where they live

4.) He has the facilities and resources to accomplish #2

I think the only way he leaves in the next few years is we have a new President or AD he doesn't think will support what he wants to accomplish.

I agree with the above. I would only add that we really need to pay Coach Heacock to stay around and continue terrifying Big 12 offenses.

I think they are all happy here. As long as Matt stays most aren't going to leave. Heacock likes stability for his life and for his family. Hopefully Matt has the same kind of plans.

He's the X's and Os guy. Can he build the same relationships?
Matt has that it factor. I'm not sure who best encompasses that right now, but I think Heacock could be great at finishing off recruitments, with his young and hungry staff bringing them in with strong relationships. Hard to say, cause he is pretty dry during his TV interviews, but from what I hear, you can really learn a lot from him.

I mean, I don’t personally think he’s going anywhere for a while, but if he does, then he does. It’s just funny seeing people using the EXACT same reasons they used to think Hoiberg was staying and using them for Campbell.

My personal favorite used for both is “why go to a blue blood where you’re just another name when you could build something special here?!”

I wonder if other low to mid-level programs fans are the same way.

It was known that Hoiberg hated recruiting. Hoiberg wanted to coach in the NBA.

Paul Finebaum is a dooooooouche. Massive SEC homer who would love to see Urban leave Ohio State so he can continue his SEC/Bama love-fest.

I read all the comments on that article and 90% of them said exactly that. I figured it was a bunch of butthurt OSU fans. Apparently has some validity. I've never heard of the guy.

America

Oddsmakers have basically narrowed it down to two options...

Ohio State can.... Man I can't think of something harsh enough to express how PO'd at them we would/should be. The best 2 coaches in 50 years go to one place.

This may sound really crazy, but to win a Big 12 title at ISU might be considered a greater accomplishment than winning a national championship at Ohio State.

Not that crazy.

Another view is if ISU had OSU type of talent and was getting blown out by programs like Iowa and Purdue the coaching would have to be in question.
