PS, Pacman isn't suspended, he is playing right now.

He may be a long-term problem but my guess is Chiz will TCO, and we need to support the coach, player, and team. Relax-

Is anyone here not supporting Gene? Chizik told LJ to take a seat before he was even ejected - loved that. Franklin got an absolutely butt chewing after his 2nd half PF penalty.

I have plenty of faith in him - but this is a rather ugly trend this season and expecting fans to...

A. Not be upset over it.
B. Not discuss it.

...is crazy.

We've got how many of these penalties already in 4 games? LJ has 3 of 'em, yes?

Two back-to-back? One kept a drive alive in an OT game last night, right?

How am I blowing this out of proportion. Please cite examples.

I watched much more Ryder Cup than I did football today. That is due to the wonderful decisions that our local TV stations make on what games to show and that the Ryder Cup is an amazing event. This year was even better than most.

i was trying to be sarcastic. the only time that i find golf worth watching is if john daly has to quit halfway through a round just to get some booze.

That sums up about every post you've ever made.

This will go a long ways toward a positive spin on this thread.

No one is going to change their mind on this one and it's only gong to head further south. Time to check out...ya'll have fun...don't forget to turn out the lights.

i'm not sure i've seen 22 blatently blow this out of proportion, but some on here are. i think it would be best for this thread to end-everyone needs to move on. i was extremely happy when lj signed his loi with us, and he has played with the abilities we all expected out of him. he made a few bone-headed plays last night.

let's all just let gc give him his butt-chewing, sit out a game, and see how the kid reacts. i for one hope he doesn't lose any intensity-god knows our defense is going to need it with banks already done for the year. if he continues to make boneheaded plays, i'm sure he will be watching from the sidelines or somewhere else all together. here's to hoping that doesn't happen.

If you have virtually back to back personal fouls with one of them being blatant in the endzone, than yes, yes you do.

He's not the first to be ejected from a football game for similar actions. He'll sit out at least a game if not more and will severely pay for it. Dismissal from the team is not the answer for him. When he returns, you put him on a short lease. If he shows he hasn't learned, we'll talk.

You are acting like these are his first fifteen yarders... He hasnt learned yet and there really isn't anything hard to figure out about it.

Two mistakes don't win or lose a game.

One mistake can lose a game. Especially when that mistake gives UNLV a first down to keep a drive alive, that drive ends in a TD, and they go on to win by 3 points.

So our entire team is equally responsible for losing this game because I'm sure that every single one of them made a mistake at some point in the game. It is not our job, nor is it fair to the players, to pick out one or two and lay a decent sized piece of blame at their feet.

But that makes too much sense!

Good wrap-up.

I thinkthe guy that has played D1 football...may have a better understanding of field dynamics than internet 'experts'. Thanks for the input Curt.

Thanks....But people on this bored should know not to argue with ISUFan22 after all he is the supreme football expert. I don't claim to know all, but no offense ISUFan22 I do know no more of what goes on than someone who has never been on the field.

People need to realize football is a very emotional game, you are running and trying to hit people as hard as you can. Sometimes this emotion takes over and you do a little to much, it happens. The very first play I was ever in on I got a late hit penalty on a kick off because I was so hyped up and when JJ Moses caught the ball I wanted to make sure I did my job for him. Well I did my job and then some, I finished my block but unfortunatley it was well after the whistle and we got penalized 15 yards. The coaches chewed my butt, but in all honesty I was caught uo in the moment and never even heard the whistle.
