I would work 80 hours a week if i had to so that my significant other doesn't have to shamelessly sell Rodan+Fields products on facebook

To be fair, it’s no more a cult than being a fan of a sports team. Or to be sold out to the company you work for. Or any other group of people that’s passionate about something.

Except the strong religious undertones.

The Primerica one captured a couple of friends of mine in college. Really made it hard to hang out with them cause they always tried to recruit you to join the cult.

I made the mistake of going to one of their recruitment meetings. What a waste of time. At least I got a free meal and drinks that night.

I do love me some spark but there are cheaper alternatives out there.
In my tax practice, I had a West Virginia meathead spew "I use Spark,...It makes me more aware and alive", all the while looking like

You know who else is really bad right now? PANDA EXPRESS. Told them I didn't want to donate toward the children's hospital the other day and the cashier screams, "What?! You don't want to round up?!" like I was the most miserable human on the planet.

Yeah - the money isn't even going for pandas! What a scam!

Youre getting scammed. They don’t work, it’s all a placebo effect. You're convincing yourself it’s working when it isn’t doing anything at all. There are a lot better ways of wasting money than this.

Honestly - if YOU think it's working for you then it's working for you.

Also, don't tell Amway people that Amway is a cult. They take offense.
Amway is what made Betsy DeVos and family bazillionaires. You give enough $$$$ and you too can buy a Cabinet position,

Had a friend try to pitch me that. He said he was guaranteeing 7% return every year. I was like, if you can do that, you would be a billionaire.

Except the strong religious undertones.

Iowa State is selling a product and I am a paying customer.

It is fundamentally an entertainment product.

Iowa State does not try to tell me that I am "owning my own business."

But still a totally waste of money for being a pyramid scheme. If would be more helpful to convince yourself that drinking 3 glasses of water in the moorning will make you happier, help lose weight, and give you energy. It will be more cheaper and actually is somewhat beneficial(drinking more water actually does help weight loss).

This product reminds me of the whole astronaut skin patches another pyramid scheme peddled that gave you energy and was made out of material NASA created. NASA actually had to come out and publish a report about how the company made up all that stuff, how they don’t actually have any magical patches and all of the science behind it was wack.

This is just throwing money away. There are other products and hobbies you can spend less money on or do for free that actually are beneficial.

I usually will round up or give a dollar, but I feel like it's getting out of control with hitting customers up for donations.

I tell them I'll look into whatever charity (it seems a ton of places are doing these "checkout charity" drives for a ton of different causes).

If I think it's a good cause/program and they've shown they spend money wisely/appropriately, I might donate on my own. I live on a budget and set aside a little bit every month toward a few specific causes I love and support, with room for a one-off that may pop up over the year.

But screw watching a multi-million dollar corporation collect hundreds of thousands, if not a million+, in checkout donations and then turn around and say "look how charitable we are! how much we love ________!", on top of the big tax write-off they get for that donation.

Was at a store that was doing donations for St Jude and I declined. Customer behind me makes a comment about how I must be ok with kids dying, cashier was left speechless. Only reason I declined was because the week before I made a donation directly to St Jude as a friends niece was there getting cancer treatment. I ignored the other customer but what an ass hat.

Just a few of these for your entertainment. Too bad so many believe they'll be part of the .05%-ers rather than the 70%+ groups in these.

Just stop already. Anyone else have these people trying to sell them this product? Has to be the most annoying thing ever. Not only that but it's a junk product. Ugh. Sorry just sick of online sales people who are friends trying to push junk onto other friends.
No idea what this is and it sounds like I'm fortunate.
