With the $1M raise for the assistant coaches, ISU moves from near the bottom of the P5 to around the middle of the pack.

Now this is before factoring in raises for assistants at other schools so not 100% fair but at least it should give an idea of where ISU ranks. Finally, this only has 51 P5 schools with what appeared to be complete numbers (Penn State only had one salary reported so showed a total of $603k in assistant pay, TCU only had one assistant reported showing $963k in assistant pay; so I left both of these schools out.

ISU 2018: $2,982,500, this was 49th on the list of 51 schools ahead of only Georgia Tech and Virginia
ISU 2019: $3,982,500 (+$1M), would rank 27th based on 2018 pay, behind 26 schools and ahead of 24 schools on this list of 51

Next 5 Schools Behind ISU (based on 2018 pay): ($3.7M-$3.9M) Arkansas, California, NC State, Ariz State, Virginia Tech
Next 5 Schools In Front of ISU (based on 2018 pay): ($4.1M-$4.3M) Wisconsin, Oklahoma State, UCLA, Louisville, Iowa

Not bad... I knew the raise was good... but didn't realize how competitive that made us.

Not a huge deal but Holgerson just got 4.5mm at Houston. I suspect that is going to ramp up the arms race of assistant coaches.

quick edit: I would like to know if there would be a way for someone to do a cost of living analysis and see how the coaches live in towns like ames, manhattan, etc.

Excellent idea, start a go fund me page for me and let me know when it's at 100k. Thanks

Does anyone know if there’s any money in the budget to hire an OC With that $1M spread between the assistants? Or would Jamie just be able allocate more to the budget if Campbell did decide to hire an OC this year?
