I thought the reffing was actually pretty good tonight - but I questioned the travel on MJ when we were up 53-49. Remember, after that travel call, they proceeded to score 12 straight points. If traveling had NOT been called, we go back up to a "comfortable" 6 point lead and perhaps that HUGE run never materializes. To be clear, I am not bagging on the refs here - just something I wondered. Can anyone clarify to me whether MJ actually traveled? Prohm seemed pretty hot about that call.

I thought he did

That effort may drop us a little, only because voters are, for the most part, uninformed morons that aren't paying attention, but in what matters, this is a still a positive game for proving our worth. This was a HUGE game for KU, at home, coming off a bad loss, and we still almost took it from them. That counts for something with people who know basketball.

Right on. Split this week (not likely--hate the SEC challenge) and possibly still in.

Shot or two goes in at Baylor and/or KSU and ISU's what, #15 right now?

And if we win Saturday, pollsters probably aren’t going to punish us too much for a 4 point loss in Lawrence.

Not sure what was going on with Wiggy tonight, but yikes on some of the shots he took. Surprised that they didn't give someone else a chance out there. LW was also lost on defense several times.

I love Wgginton as much as the next guy, but let’s all be honest here tonight. If he played 0 minutes tonight, we would have won. If Cam was coached better defensively, we would have won. There were four guys sitting on the bench eager and ready to contribute and not one of them got the chance. You’ve all been taking about depth all season long. Where was it tonight? Sitting on the ******* bench. I love Prohm and I love every guy on this team, and they fought till the end tonight but this was an easily winnable game if the correct calls were made.

Your first sentence is obviously correct. I didn't even consider a possibility that Prohm and Co. aren't coaching the big men well enough defensively. McKay looked dominant Hoiberg's last year then became a foul machine overnight. Conditt was sick people were saying.

It trying to ***** about lineups or anything but what happened to Talley? I really liked his game and we could have used his driving ability this game. I don’t remember him being too bad on defense either. Idk. It’s been awhile since I’ve seen him play meaningful minutes.

Conditt was up and cheering on the team at every opportunity and laughing, joking around, smiling, etc.

He might have been ill, but sure wasn't looking like it. Looked to me like he could have played some minutes for sure. MJ played one of his best games ever with the flu. And no I'm not comparing Conditt to MJ, so calm down.

But he sure didn't look sick on the sidelines.

KU was getting layups at will the entire 2nd half and we had nobody to protect the rim. They outscored us like 24 to 6 in the paint in the 2nd half. If our guards can't get in front of their penetrating guards, then you MUST have a rim protector back there, but we didn't. It was just layup after layup for them.

If Conditt could possibly play at all, he had to be in there.

Give it a rest, Sparky.

I'll say one thing for us. We're consistent...in how we lose. No ability to defend the dribble drive, terrible FT shooting, and questionable shot selection for extended periods of time.

Regarding the bolded we were leading the Big 12 in free throw percentage after the OSU game according to Walters and Heft.
