I think he played the first 7-8 minutes of the 2nd half. Things were going well. Maybe CSP just saw an opportunity to give him some rest and play others, especially considering how well Wigginton and THT were playing.

I guess I'm curious how you thought he was having an off game. Was it the turnovers like somebody else said?

Had team high (5) TOs in first half and (I think 7 pts). My game tracker had him at 26-mins with 13: 19 in 2nd half and finishing with 26-mins (tracker might be off).
MS is a Senior and leading B12 scorer; he's carried this team at times and came here for the opportunity to showcase his skills.
No big deal; I'm not looking for drama, but I think it's different of Coach to have him get one of his lowest minutes - when, as you pointed out, he seemed to pick it up 2nd half and was on seasonal average track. .

Agreed. And I think this years team has a higher ceiling than that one 2 years ago. More complete team this year.

Simply put there's more players that can do many things.

Weird Shayok hasn't played much 2nd half; he was off and THT + Wiggs + Lard were working.

Shayok shot well. He sat down with 3 fouls and everyone else played well enough to keep him off the floor.

I wish officials would get together and agree to quit calling traveling when a guy starts to take off with a dribble from a stopped position. It is called so inconsistently as to be unfair, so just stop it. And if a guy moves his foot one inch 20 feet from the basket, it has no effect on the game.

Instead, start calling it on all these guys that take three steps going to the basket. That actually affects the game and the score. Even if our guys do it, I want that called because it matters. This alleged shuffling of the feet as a guy starts his move is meaningless.

They did seem to call that stutter-travel a LOT in the first half especially.
