We may do the mobile passes. It can be tough to get to games with kids 3 & under - and no family in town.
FYI - due to more interest in the team and more season tickets purchased, we had only ONE decent pair of game seats last year, and that was after we went in and begged them not to put me & my bad knees 3 rows from the top of the upper deck. They moved us to some empty seats in sec 5 or 6, about five rows down from the concourse. The rest of the time we were well up in the upper or waaaaay back in the corners of the south end. Based on that, we decided to go back to permanent seats this year.
The prices on the mobile passes are a great deal, and it's really easy to transfer them, although you have to wait until 24 hrs before kickoff when you actually "accept" the seats before you can transfer them to another mobile device. They just aren't quite as good a deal now that they no longer promise you two games seated in the lower deck. They've also turned the mobile program over to a third party, and they were a pain in the butt to work with.

Question: I’m sure this has come up several times, but if I’m trying to locate next to some else, do I renew now then you pick your seats in May? If I’m not able to either it wouldn’t be a huge deal. Really like where I sit in secton L.

Yes renew now, pick later or stay in your current seats. Do not wait, if you go past the renew deadline you lose your current seats and will be a new seat holder in May if you want season tickets.

Keep in mind others might have had different experiences. I just know that the 2018 version was a significant downgrade (for us) over the 2017 season. We had seats between the 30s and halfway down the lower deck for three separate games in 2017.

Check with your employer to see if they have a matching contribution program. My company has matched my donation for the last 5 years. Free money for ISU. The “Process” don’t come cheap people.

How many people are actually successful with this? My employer does not allow matches that for donations that go towards sports teams/sports scholarships.

Quick Math I found interesting... $25 increase per season ticket. I believe roughly 40,000 season tickets have been sold in recent years, which is my guess only, I don't recall actual amounts being publicized. With that, $25*40,000 = $1,000,000. Just so happens the amount used to pay assistant coaches was increased by... $1,000,000. I like the staff, they are doing great things. I get 3 season tickets, so an extra $10 a game in 2019 is well worth it to me.

Not entirely sure... it’s worth inquiring. Mine has without question for 5 years. ISU even has a dedicated matching gifts coordinator that does most of the work.

Do you know if your company actually gives additional $ to ISU, or if they are already corporate sponsors of ISU, ISU allows your company to declare portions of their sponsorship as employee match? For example say your company writes ISU a check for $50k each year, then you write a check for $500 and your company "matches" it, does your company write another $500 check on top of the $50k?

I could see that being a good benefit ISU offers to its sponsors. Makes the company look good to their employees and ISU gets the bigger corporate checks.

Considering getting season tickets for the first time and was looking at the mobile passes. Is there any correlation between when you buy the mobile passes and how good the seats you are assigned are?

Sorry if this has already been discussed, but if my employer writes a matching check, does that double my donation and allow for all the additional perks associate with a larger donation?
