I love a lot of the players listed and I see good cases for a lot of them to top the list but I have to believe that a forward who takes over PG for a team because they don't have one and leads them the NCAA tournament leading the team in Pts, R, A, B & S along the way has to be next to the top if not squarely on it.
Yeah there's no way I'm not putting Royce at the top. That dude made that team work.

Allen, Babb, and Christopherson along with young Ejim were fine pieces. But you take out Royce and replace him with an average PF...that team is NIT bound. We were on the bubble WITH Royce.

Can also make the argument that without the "coming out" party we don't end up with transfers in future years like Lucious, Clyburn, and then Kane the following year.

Royce has to be #1 for the last 10 years.
Dude lead the team in almost every single category. Without him that team is not in the tourney.

That team underperformed some imo.

Lucious and Clyburn were already at ISU and redshirting during the “coming out”.

Surprised Deonte Burton hasn't been brought up. He's not better than Royce but he's right there with Kane and Shayok, and was with the team for 1.5 years. Sleighed Kansas in Lawrence and almost carried us to the Sweet 16 by single-handedly beating Purdue.

Has to be Royce. Who was even the second best player on that team? Chris Allen? Bubu Palo was getting significant minutes in that rotation, for crying out loud. Royce White elevated the entire roster, helped revitalize the program with Hoiberg, and kicked off a six year run of tourney appearances. No other transfer has made that kind of long term impact.

I'm sure Korie and Will were able to tell that things were changing when on their visits and Royce, Babb, Allen were on their sitout year

I’m sure they were really impressed with 2010-11, but that’s not the coming out you referred to.

Ask me in April. If we have a deep run and Shayok is a large part of it, he could vault to the top or just behind Royce

Was that last line just poorly worded? We lost to Purdue.

Yep, remember the prior decade of ISU basketball after you watch these highlights...

That was fun...forgot how...'exciting' some of the ends of those games were.

Storming the court for unranked Baylor? Because senior night? I don't remember that.

I remember Royce making all these circus plays and dunking a lot, too.

I seem to remember him turning the ball over and being the linchpin on defense for a pretty bad defensive team, too, or at least I remember that way more than you guys.

The guy was fun and absolutely oozed talent, but he was not as much of a well-rounded, two-way player as a lot of the other guys on the list that we have to choose from.

Still gimme a Kane or a Shayok.
