So this game is shooting, last game was rebounding, the game before was defense. This team always has an excuse. Facts are we got swept by baylor and tcu and are out of the conf running in a season where KU is not good. The only thing Steve Prohm's teams have consistently done is underachieve.

That's right. Time for him to go.

Agreed, the reality is this program has looked like a Mcdermott coached team with alot better talent, which equals 5th place finishes. Kansas will be unstoppable next year, so I dont really see any hope of a championship anytime soon.

This twice now in 4 years he will take championship level talent to a 10-8 or 9-9 finish.

Well, we have two hanging from the rafters, which is more than most other programs in this league and could have had another this year.

Prohm is an above average coach and has done a good job of maintaining the program's success. It just doesn't appear that he can take ISU to "the next step." Maybe that's okay with most fans, but this year has been a bit brutal considering the opportunity we squandered.

That's Steve Alford talk right there. ....

I think that applies to everyone on here. I'm just repeating everything that I am reading in this thread and the game thread.

If Prohm is as awful as is being written on here, then he should be fired. I say, don't let him on the bus.

Or it could be that everyone is over-reacting because they are children and when confronted by an over the top overreaction, they don't know what to do.

Fire Prohm!
I believe we are acting like every other fan of any team. This human nature. In that same vein, you seem to be on the defensive as someone who has given a lot of crap to those questioning Prohm for months/years now and you are over reacting to the idea that we may be correct.

Lots of disagrees on OP’s post. While he goes way over the top do you guys really think Prohm will win a regular season Big 12 title? I sure as hell don’t.

Of course not. Time to fire him. Why wait until the end of the season? If he is as awful as I have been led to believe by the people on this board, why are we keeping him around?

I am certainly not jumping on the “pile on Prohm” train. But, one thing that really gets my goat is that now after seeing Lard play for 2 years, is why did he not pull the RS off him Monte’s SR year. I understand that he wouldn’t be as good of a player as he is now, but that team really could have used a guy that size with that ability to play above the rim.

That's right. I was wrong to think he was a good coach. He's garbage. Fire him.

I mean, that's so true. It seems like a basket case of a person would have done great arriving in January, not knowing any of our players and would have fit seamlessly in to an already good (but let's be honest, they should have been a lot better because Prohm is a terrible coach) team. For sure someone that had never even practiced at a D-1 level would have been great right away! Just another reason to fire the pathetic excuse for a coach we have.

I have taken my daughter to a couple Twister Sisters games this season and I can’t tell you how refreshing it is. Solid fundamental basketball is so fun to watch. It would be even more fun to watch with the talent we have on the men’s team. 0 fundamentals. 0 game plan. 0 answer to the dribble drive. 0 rebounds. Very little heart.

I didn't say anything about that, so don't put words in my mouth.

But this team is really good at watching the other team rebound.

I agree. And if this team is that bad, it must be the coach. Every other coach wins all of their games . Fire his ass.
