OP doesnt go far enough. JSB doesnt go far enough. Jamie is the real problem and we will never win a Big 12 basketball title while he is our AD.

Jamie has proved he loves mediocrity and should be fired.

McDermott should’ve been fired after year 2. We were lucky he left.

Fred should’ve been fired after year 3 when he failed to win the Big 12 with a STACKED roster. At the minimum he should’ve been fired after the loss to UAB. He showed how terrible he is in Chicago.

Prohm should’ve been fired after 10-8 conference record year 1. The Sweet 16 was fools gold.

Eustachy proved you can win the conference in year 2. Until we get an AD that refuses to hold our coaches to that standard we will continue to suck and be the laughingstock of the Big 12.

This is either brilliant satire, or bad enough to make me invest in the dumb button.

Because I am hopeful, and have faith in some of my fellow human beings, I’m going to award to you the win of the internet today.

If I’m wrong, may god have mercy on your soul.

Are you fondly remembering some uninterrupted string of championships under a previous coach I am not aware of?

Are you saying because we haven't won championship we have to settle for no championships in the future? Once again the soft bigotry of low expectations.

Just think if there would have been message boards back when Johnny Orr was coaching. They couldn't win a road game in or out of conference to save their ass. The defense was always atrocious too.

All that you typed is true, but damn we were fun at home!

Oh Jesus. This is so dumb. This isn’t football under McCarney where we were never able to tell what was possible, because he kept losing games he shouldn’t, and never winning ones he shouldn’t.

This coach has won big games here. Worthless new age language aside, If you really think prohm is what is stopping Iowa state from going on a Kansas like streak, then you are not living in the real world.

If Texas Tech can beat KU by 30, why can’t we win every game by 30? Never settle!

Just out of curiosity, who was the last coach not named Eustachy that won the conference regular season?

What big games? I call b———. Winning once in Phog is crap. Talk to me when you win 5 STRAIGHT vs the Jaysquawks like LE.

Beating #1 OU? Yes but anyone can do that at Hilton.

Big 12 tourney title? That win just proved how much that team underachieved.

The sooner we fire Prohm tbe sooner we can defeat the soft bigotry of low expectations.

We should learn from F——- INDIANA. They dont tolerate mediocrity and you get fired if you dont make the Final Four there.

I wish I'd never started this thread. The whole thing is stupid. Who can really say whether or not Prohm can win at a high level or what that will mean in the greater cosmos of Iowa state athletics. I hope he does win and I'm dead wrong. He's by all accounts a great guy who cares about the school and his players. I support that. A guy like him deserves to bring home a championship.

This thread was a major overreaction on my part. Sorry everyone for starting it.
Wow. Don't see that very often. A poster admitting they overreacted. Nice to see and well done.

Exactly, ISU has accepted mediocrity ever since he got fired.

Pansy PC types who want to cry because our WINNING coach liked to party.

You will never catch Prohm kissing co-eds. Thats part of the problem. Pansy-ass Christian trying to build so-called character who doesnt give a rip about TITLES.

Well Lubbock is a beautiful metropolis that every basketball recruit dreams of, so not sure how we can compete with that.

With Fred we had an identity...high octane offense. Not the greatest defense...but they never shot 2 - 20 from 3 either. BUT...I also attribute a lot of this year to young guys playing many minutes and lack of senior leadership when things get tough. Let's hope all of the guys that can return next year do return and a healthy Solomon Young.

Iowa State plays with both Lard and Jacobsen on the floor several times in every game. But neither is good enoigh to run anything through. You cant just "try something new" that doesnt have a chance to work.

Not sure why but Lard is not any bigger or better than he was a year ago and he plays with much less edge and aggressiveness than he used to.

Your probably trolling on the Lard comment, but he didn't play any hoops all summer Prohm sent him to a wellness clinic to get his life straightened out before it went way off the rails. Then came back and earned some more time off with personal problems.
Prohm has put a lot of time in on Lard to give him the opportunity to be a better person, hopefully the better BB player will come in the rest of his career at ISU and after.

Lards timing was way off when he came back and couldn't be on the floor for 2 minutes with out a foul. I'm glad to see he is getting playing time and not just fouls hopefully the rest comes back over time even if it's next season.

Fred was mediocrity. The sooner you let go of that era the better for all of us. See what happened in Chicago? That would have happened here too. We were lucky he left.

Never posted better than 12-6 in conference? B——. Absolute crap when you have NBA TALENT everywhere.
