This.

There was a lot of heat on Prohm when things started to fall apart towards the end of the season. There is also a possibility that we could be looking at a rebuilding year next year. On the flip side of it, if all things stay as is we could be a top 15 team.

With success comes even higher expectations, which causes more pressure. There was a tweet from Lyndsey Fennelly that alluded to Prohms wife being very stressed out and about the haters being awfully quiet right now after the tourney championship. If mama ain't happy; nobody is happy!
There was a lot of Twitter heat on Prohm. I’m sure the change from Murray St hasn’t been all positive for the Prohms, but that’s being a P5 coach when dropping 5 of 6 to end the season from losing the team, a year after having the program’s first losing record 7 years.

In reality, that heat has been there since he agreed to replace Hoiberg. That’s not going away if Hoiberg takes the UNL job

Since when do actual legitimate reputable journalistic newspapers start writing articles based off of internet rumors?

Oops... my bad.... the Register hasn't been "legimimate" or "reputable" for a long time.

Randy should be ashamed of himself for being nothing more than an internet rumor hack job "journalist", but of course he won't.

If ISU comes out flat and gets their rear ends handed to them tonight, I'm blaming him for putting out this nonsense the morning of our game. Could there be some truth to it in the end.... sure.... possibly.... but you don't print it if it's not factual news.

if Prohm leaves Jamie's first call should be to Rick Pitino or Dana Altman or someone with a lot of d1 experience

Otz will always be around and hopefully would have the chance to get more experience but making a splash with an experienced, successful coach (who probably wouldn't stay that long) would legitimize the program far more than another low-major guy

You obviously didn't go to journalism school.

I'm sure having a fan base is new territory for both of them. Having thick skin is a job requirement. I hope they can get used to it.

Dude, I used to work with a guy who went to Alabama so now all him and his Alabama buddies are doing is going on about how Alabama is going to land Prohm. They keep telling me that Alabama has a better basketball history (not really), they have more fan support (no way), their program is a billion times better than ours (football, sure, but basketball is definitely not) and that going to Tuscaloosa would be a huge upgrade for Prohm’s coaching career. I disagree with everything these clowns are saying because Alabama basketball has been completely irrelevant since they were the 2 seed back in 2002 and got demolished and completely embarrassed by Kent State in the second round of the dance.

Could you imagine living in that state with all of those insufferable people? I'd rather live in Mississippi.

This is dumb. Criticism for coaching is part of the game. But some of the **** that was said here Facebook twitter went way overboard.

I guess I didn't read everything. Everything I saw was coaching related. Did it get personal? Attacks? What?

Any coach coming into isu has to expect that. Have Champagne taste with a beer budget when it comes to basketball.
