As astounding as an alley-oop would've been on that break, you've gotta choose a routine layup. Didn't hold ground for the rebound on the FT. Inches.

Agree on the fast break, but on the FT just as Dawkins jumped he got shoved in the back by 5.... He flew across the lane and ended up on the baseline on the other side of the backboard.

The block charge, the 5th on Tako, the bump on 1 on the final shot.... Duke is the ultimate #coddled

watch the replay, the kid got pushed in the back, that is why he ended up under the hoop

Thing is if they don't call Zion for the charge on that last shot not sure the foul on Tako wasn't a play on as well.

So down the stretch, could have been a charge on Zion for his 5th foul... could have been a no call on Takko and UCF's ball up 1 and Ball still in the game.... should have been a foul on 5 for the push in the back on the FT rebound... could have been a foul on 1's drive and shot to win it....

None of those worked out for UCF,

I felt like I was watching the end of a close Iowa State loss, when no individual sequence spells doom, but a collection of oddities pile up in the final couple of possessions.

It happens for Duke every year.

Don't even think that I don't think back to the last 4 minutes of the Elite Eight game in Houston in 2010, every time I watch Duke get the benefit of a Block/Charge call.

up 2 Qunicy Acy drives and scores Zubek the Devils 7'0" Center with 4 fouls slides in late... Bucket goes in... Bears are about to be up 5 late and Duke is without their 7 footer for a spot in the Final Four....

but...no...

Has anyone seen Mr Eades doing an NCAA tournament game?

I will say the shot clock violation review went against Duke.

What a heart-breaking loss for UCF. Not for them - they put up a fantastic effort. They can be proud.

But heartbreaking for me, and for the rest of the nation...

I would expect ISU fans to be thrilled with Iowa's loss, why not?

Im just saying, as a fan, I would take this result over a blowout 10/10 times. Hoping for otherwise would be ridiculous.
I have friends and family that are Iowa fans so I take no joy when Iowa loses (except to ISU). They love their team like I love mine so I console them and never rub it in but I'm not into smack or trash talking either.
