Yeah Iowa has had a ton visits also. They got none. So if you like visits where we get runner up. Then that's great. However, Frenchy sounds like we are not in the lead. Grill is down to UNLV (Who we lose to every time regardless of the sketchy crap they do) Kansas State and Iowa State. We know Kansas State is closer to home and he has said he wants to be closer to home.
The new top 100 kid we just started recruiting and his former assistant just happens to live in the same state as him and is an assistant at Georgia. Which in my mind puts us behind them unless he just kind of dislikes Georgia.
The Johnson kid who is a transfer has worse numbers than Beverly. So Is the sky falling? No. Are things looking good? Not in my mind.

To paraphrase Harry Doyle in Major League

He’s not the most aptly named poster in the history of the internet for nothing folks -

spring recruiting season is the best. so much drama, and for a fan, its all just fun.

i mean, its just the financial futures of millionaire coaches and 1-5 years of kids lives, that's all.

i love the fact a kid no one has ever heard of, at a school most people don't even know, gets to choose between UNC, Notre Dame, and Michigan for his final year of bball. how cool is that!

can remember the BDJ commitment like it was yesterday...

Ignore the tools, Chris. Most of us appreciate your info

I'm not concerned. I was very clear in my intro on the post that there wasn't much new info - just some added insight - and me wanting to compile it into one spot for fans. Not every person on this site studies recruiting for four hours a day. I'm here for those people too.

The doom and gloom attitude from some posters on this board gets pretty old. Does Prohm have an uphill climb? Yeah, of course. But there's no reason to write it off and think the sky is currently falling before the chips even fall. Lot of minutes are leaving, to not think that isn't an incentive Prohm is laying out there for recruits is crazy. Let the man do his job before you burn him at the stakes.

Agree with your view here, although with a fairly tight window to compete for players, I understand some will be on pins and needles and looking at about a half-day sports news cycle.

Anyway, your post is a double winner based on all the cliches mixed in: doom and gloom, uphill climb, write it off, sky is falling, chips fall, lay out there, burn him at the stakes. Maybe throw in "gets pretty old." Makes me proud to read some of this stuff!!
