I've seen a couple mocks with him going to Indy at 34 and I'm hoping that's not the case. I think he was a combine monster but there are plenty of more complete prospects out there, Butler included.

I agree. I don't see Ballard picking a guy like Metcalf. Not really his style.

I saw twice last night on tv guys talk about all the wide receivers on the board and give a run down of who's left and neither one even mentioned Butler. They talked about 6 or 7 guys. Obviously that doesn't mean he couldn't be the next one off the board, but it seems like at best he is in a crowded bunch of receivers. Seems like the possiblity for a drop is there. Someone also said you could see 10 or more pass catchers go tonight, so who knows. Butler would certainly be top 10 of what's left.

The Chiefs have two late 2nd round picks tonight. I would really love to see one of these two guys go to them. Get a CB and Hakeem in the 2nd and I'd be pretty happy. They need a WR but not sure what is going on with Hill so perhaps they would want a burner. Or perhaps they can get one of those nasty OU Oline and pick them up in the third. Would still be happy with that result.

I could def see David M going in next 15-20 picks...there’s several teams needing RBs and he’s on a lot of lists s next RB taken..

I agree. Butler has the most variability of places he could be picked but would take a team to really like his skill set. The first round did not help him with so few receivers being taken.

A little off topic, but not entirely....my kids had a track meet last night so I got home late. I had set the DVR for the draft and sat down to watch. What a game changer. Hit fast forward until Goodell comes to the mic, see the pick, fast forward. The talk, interviews and BS is basically unwatchable for me now.

It was really bad on ABC last night. The sound was barely audible for some reason (all background noise) and they added a lot of fluff that was just not what football fans want to watch. That and they took for freaking ever.

Trends in the NFL are weird. 10 years ago Hakeem would have been 1st or 2nd rounder, no question, with comparisons to Randy Moss and Calvin Johnson. No one seems to want big receivers who can stretch the field anymore. Maybe its the general lack of talent at the QB position? IDK. The league is getting harder to watch every year.

I agree with this. I have a feeling that Hakeem will suffer a similar fate as Allen Lazard. Hakeem will get drafted, but at a much later round.

Some of these teams are run by people that are totally incompetent. Detroit and the Bengals, for example, haven't won a playoff game in nearly 3 decades. I think it's been more than a decade since the Browns and Bucs made the playoffs.

This is impressive since the league is set up for a team to win their division every 4-5 years.

Add the Packers to that list. Everyone up here is convinced they should be winning the superbowl every year despite whiffing on about five consecutive drafts. Davonte Adams and Jaire Alexander are probably the only good picks they've made in the top rounds. They made another dreadful selection this year in Rashan Gary.

I read beforehand that ABC’s was more for the casual viewer and people that wanted to be entertained. So I stayed away from that one

Regardless of where he lands I think Butler has a great chance to make a splash next season if he ends up in the right situation. He's a highlight waiting to happen. All he needs is one huge catch and chucking a defender off him when he lands and he will be all over the internet.

Updated mock draft I saw this AM that updates after round 1 has Butler and D Mo going to Buffalo.
Butler = 2nd round 40th overall
D Mo = 3rd round 74th overall
