More likely Bolton (not us) is dragging his feet waiting for an announcement from Wigginton or we are trying to get better feeling on the waiver.
Or this too

Pretty sure this has everything to do with Prohm and the integrity of how he runs his program.. like others have said it’s a very very low chance LW returns but if CSP were to fill his ship with no ships left what would happen if those in the LW camp hit twitter slamming his isu and LW not having any option now at all etc.. not saying they would but it’s not impossible either.. them you would have Bilas and all the Twitter people making isu and Prohm look bad..
It’s one week away.. not a big deal.
No. We’re on same page that LW is gone. His post, prohms comments, cw comments and national writers comments give no indication of a return.
Maybe there’s some merit to the theory the staff is holding off on going public with the Bolton commitment until it’s offically official but LW is not coming back to ISU and those who need to know that, know that.

"I plan to hire and agent and test with the full intent of straying in." This coupled with conversations stat Steve and Lindell probably had behind closed doors screams time to move on.
Is it a dead period right now? Could be the reason there has been no news about Bolton. He may be looking to visit other schools but can't right now.
Does the dead period apply to transfers? I didn’t think so.
Yes, it does. It is still recruiting.
So it is a dead period right now but transfers are still visiting.

Let me remind you of this.
That guy, if he hits his potential next year, is an All-American.
An eligible Bolton probably makes it a better spring that we could've imagined. I was wanting a HS, sit out and GT. Bolton may not be as good as Tucker but having him for 3 years makes him a bigger get IMO. What i really like is, no one else left the program and there is still some quality PT leftover for the Lewis, Griffin and the freshman to battle over. We realistically need 2 of those 6 guard/wings/Anderson (as a potential stretch 4) to step up.
You figure these guard starters...
(6'5") Haliburton
(6'2") Bolton
(6'2") Nixon
Not ideal size, but Haliburton gives you some flexibility to guard the opposing 3. Hopefully Bolton and Nixon can overcome their size by just being bulldogs on defense.
And then 2/3 starters and one bench guy of...
Jacobson (senior, so starter)
Young
Conditt
That is a six man rotation. So you need two more of...
Jackson, Grill, Lewis, Griffin, Leech
...the other guards/wings to emerge, or at least one of them, as a rotational guy.
If Anderson is much ahead of the guards, then maybe we lock into 3/2 all the time.
And that equals a pretty good team.
It might not make a Final Four run, but they should challenge for the NCAA tournament.
