Just 1 honestly, I stop by from time to time when I am bored. Point out the hypocrisy, cause a defensive pissing contest, which I usually point out the obvious and what is wrong with most statements, and leave.

Why don't you share your wisdom and keen insight over on HN or HR, they are in a lot more need of your skillset.

Pettway had 4 years of training, Martin had 2, and all I am saying is why can he not improve after 2 years when it took year 4 for Pettway to do anything productive? He was only productive as the number 1 is the argument being made. What if Martin the the 1? then what? can he not do the same thing as Pettway? That is the logic being displayed right now.
I am not saying that Martin is going to be bad, I stated above that I see him possibly putting up numbers that Nick Easley did (52 catches, 500 yds, 5 TD's last year). I'm sorry if that's not up to standard. I also apologize for not saying Martin is better than Pettway. Pettway, an SEC wide receiver who averaged 16.6 ypc last year and 500 yards and choosing between us an Auburn is no doubt worse than Martin who has yet to do anything and was choosing between Iowa and.. well Iowa.

So you think he will be Easley then, because Cytwins does not see how that is possible.

Where there not more wr recruits those years, if not that is on the coaches again.

So 8 recruits receive a combined 20 P5 offers and 4 recruits receive a combined 10 P5 offers.

It's almost like you're not recruiting kids with more P5 offers like I correctly pointed out. Shocking I know

Easley was a very productive receiver who put up good numbers for Iowa. He was their #1 receiver for two years in a row. I think that saying Oliver Martin has the potential to be like that is fair. Easley wasn't a wow guy, he didn't turn any heads by any means, but he caught the ball well and did his job.

A lot of this conversation depends on who Iowa puts on the field at the QB position after Stanley. If their QB's don't pan out and there's disruption, it'll be hard to put up good numbers.

Actually 4 of those guys had 21 P5 offers like the previous group had 10, the other 4 guys did not report offers, transferred, or were project players, instead of only being project players. WE had both first choice guys for us and then projects evaluated after the year. Which, by what you have posted and shared is better than before, so thanks for that info and help.

Hey mods, how about moving this thread over to the ISR forum since it no longer has anything to do with ISU football (if it ever did)?

So the strategy is to recruit twice as many and have the bottom half transfer out? Brilliant!

His whole "well now we recruit twice as many bad WRs under KF than we used to under KF" is pretty funny to watch

How are our WRs bad when they continually torch ISU and decide the games since Campbell took over?

probably a smart move. But this year, Iowa will have the better OL. ISU is building the depth there though.

You need to think deeper.

Iowa has had the better O line for the 20+ years. The two big differences now are 1) The gap between Iowa's Oline and ISUs Oline is the smallest it has ever been 2) ISUs Dline and defense are better than Iowa's Oline and offense.

No, they are not. 1) ISU OL is not at Iowa level and it will not be as long as Ferentz is in IC 2) Iowa Defense and DL is better than ISU offense.
