Usually 7 or 8..though there's something about a nicely charred 9, wth the flames having just been extinguished..

6-7 is what I aim for, but I light it on fire occasionally.

Sometimes this is real life.

I usually light it on fire then turn it around to get the whole outside. Pretty much 9, I don't let it burn long enough to become like 10, just enough to be blasted. I want the entire inside to be mush, none of that normal marshmallow chewiness left, just straight plasma.

I do the same with my hot dogs. All 8 of my father-in-law's siblings know to burn me a couple when I'm there.

I prefer 7, but I dont know why people are freaking out about 9. You never caught the thing on fire and blew it out? It's a very thin layer of char and gooey deliciousness in the middle.

If I'm eating a marshmallow you better believe it is sandwiched between graham crackers and chocolate and that mallow needs to be gooey to the core. Sure in an ideal world that would be a nice 7 or 8 but I don't have the patience for that. Stick it in the fire, ignite, extinguish, done; I think that equates to a 9.

Now we need a contest for apple pie made with the camping pie iron. Before covering it up with powdered sugar because you burnt it.

Usually it goes something like this. Place the marshmallow on the end of a stick and hold it at just the right height and painstakingly rotate for 10 minutes. Then at the end of the ten minutes either the fire pops and blows coals all over it or the damn thing melts off the end into the fire. **** it! Light the damn thing on fire for 3 seconds and blow it out. Voila! You're done!

Resse's Peanut Butter Cup is even better than plain chocolate.
