So, are we going with the Black uniforms for this one?

I think we are breaking out the new Gold helmets to wear with our black jerseys, and new gold pants. Just to melt the brains of the Hoks.
I'm sure we will get a cease and desist order from them to stop wearing "THEIR" colors if we did that. LOL
I would hate wearing that combo, but it would be so worth it to watch the meltdown over there.

Living in Arizona, it cracks me up that anyone would think 77 degrees is "too hot" for anything. That's jacket weather out here...we don't even see 77 at night most of the time (109 yesterday for a high). On a 77 degree, jersey color really won't have an effect on stamina. On the other hand, it would make Hawkeye brains explode...seems well worth it to me!

An ambient temp of 77 would put it well into the 80s down on the field, especially with clear skies and 62,000 fans. We don't need our guys soaking up sun in black for 3 hours. They aren't playing shuffleboard or pickle ball.

Just beat their asses. That'll mess with their heads enough.

Red is a great Cyclone look as well...can't wait for this game.

I haven't been back to Iowa in almost 30 years, but will be flying in with my brother (who, sadly, is a Hawkeye fan...the reasonable sort) for this one. Haven't been to a game in person...or back in Iowa at all...since the Earle Bruce years. Being in the Army and my current work/family stuff made it almost impossible to visit Iowa...but I'm so fired up for the Cyclones right now I wouldn't miss this game for anything!

Can't wait to walk into Jack Trice...brings back memories of attending the first game ever in that hallowed stadium back in 1975 when I was just 10 years old.

Well...I'm old. And a man. But I'm sure as hell not sticking to HR, though they do entertain me over there on the topic of this upcoming game. They're in the midst of a deep panic over ISU football right now. Wearing the blacks would just tweek that panic enough to generate true hysteria amongst the Hawkeye faithful.

Your 100k posts say differently

I don't really care. But if ISU came out in all black I think it'd be great, since it's Iowa's color.

Black isn't one of ISU's colors? Hmmmm..... news to me.....

It's been over 100 the last few days where I live, so I have no idea how hot it's been in Iowa. I think 77 is warm enough to avoid black, depending on if it's a sunny 77 or an overcast 77.
