Not liking Texas opening play calls. Oklahoma' defense is only 84th in the nation in rushing yards/attempt and they haven't played anyone particularly good. Texas needs to test the OU front seven early, find a favorable matchup and exploit it often for long, clock-eating drives.

Sheesh, what a freak pass completion that was from Hurts to Rambo. Hurts was falling backwards and still threw a strike against good coverage.

The salient accomplishment--by far-- of the CMC era is beating OU. Watching them now, I don't understand how they ever lose a game....even to Alabama. Sabin must be a better cheater than Stoops/Riley, because the talent is the same as Alabama.
Got to still give love to Lazard, Montgomery, and Kempt and the assistants at the time.....

Conflicting here. I think Texas losing to someone other than OU is more likely than OU losing to someone outside of Texas, so an OU loss is better if in fact ISU is up there come November.

But seeing frat boys like Tom Herman fail is also fun.

Bad defense catches up to you at some point. OU was hot coming out of the gate vs. UGA two seasons ago but once UGA got settled in OU got beat terribly in the 2nd half.

That said outside of Kempt to Lazard for the go-ahead, the best part of that win in 2017 was OU not being able to move the ball on their last drive.

This Texas drive is more of what they need to do... between the tackles run plays, called runs for Elinger, work the underneath routes.

I feel like ISU has a decent chance to beat TX, OU not so much. Got to cheer for TX and hope the Clones can take care of business the next 3 weeks.

IF ISU can get through October (not so confident just yet) they'll need to be at their absolute best and beyond those weeks.
