How do we know it wasn't "college" that is the reason these guys are leaving? We have no idea...it may be playing time or lack of it...it may be that college is hard? Who knows until they or someone in the program tells us?
Perhaps you’re correct, but there was very little praise about their on-court prospects the past 4 months. Generally there is no shortage of hyperbole and meaningless sound-bites in the offseason, even for deep bench freshmen.

Is Leech really that hurt? He was a former 5-star and not even 2 months into school Prohm has decided he cant cut it in the Big 12. This makes me believe his previous injury history is alot worse than anybody realized.

Jok had a similar situation and he turned out ok.
Didn't Leech leave campus for an extended time this summer and went home without much info on why?

My guess is that they were told that they would be looking at redshirting them or only playing garbage minutes and they both would rather play somewhere else. Not the end of the world, opens up some scholarships!

Can't really know if this is good or bad until we find out why they left. If it's because Foster and the ex Michigan State recruit(can't remember his name, Terry?) are coming and they were going to lose their scholarships then it's not a bad thing. They just got recruited over. If it's because they hated being there and the locker room vibe is still bad then yes, that's very bad. Not really worth worrying about yet because we're not gonna know for a bit either way

Not concerned by this at all. Doesn't take long for players/coaches to know if a kid is going to cut it at this level or not, so best for both parties to cut bait quick and use those scholarships to upgrade (ie. XF and Dubar).

Seems safe to say these guys weren't going to crack the back end of the rotation over Lewis, Griffin, etc.

It felt like the writing was on the wall that they were expecting at least 1 to transfer out with the outstanding scholarships offers. Much better to have clarity now than having to scramble in the spring. It also gives me a bit of hope that Lewis was not on his way out.

Not so much with this staff. With the previous one, there was a direct correlation between volume of sunshine being blown and likelihood of transfer. “Oh, Pat’s been really impressive. One of the best short, slow 40-year-olds we’ve ever seen. Has a great below-the-rim game.”

Ouch, no wonder they are looking for more kids in this class.
That sucks about Leech. Was hoping he could get things turned around and back to where he was.

I think the timing infers that it was basketball related.

Can't wait to watch the full meltdown over at HN when someone makes the connection.

PEOPLE...connect the dang dots. Not a shock this came after Dubars visit this weekend and Fosters announcement next week. I'd expect a commitment from Dubar this week and Foster next Monday. Two much BETTER players.

Sucks about Leech his injury just killed his career.

For the kids I hope it is/was basketball related...but it is possible they weren't going to pass their college classes or were homesick and just couldn't get over it. How much is left in the fall semester...6 weeks? Leech was a "swing for the fences" type recruit anyway as we hoped he would regain his health and form...but Anderson leaving so quickly seems more like it was more than the on court stuff?

They had to have know they werent playing meaningful minutes this year? I find it really hard to believe incoming freshman dont already know the structure of the roster and where they will fit into it. My guess is Prohm has better players coming and he decided to cut weight right away.
