From HN:
"Fran I believe is a players coach. His players, past and present, all like him even if he does act like a hot head on game days. That may not always sit well with recruits. Literally 1:30 seconds into the exhibition game, Fran blew up on Garza with the Foster family seated 30 feet away. Those things may not endear the mom to the program."

Did this seriously happen during Foster's last visit (as a spectator) to CHA? That is too good. Even if Fran tried to be on his best behavior he wouldn't be able to do it.

Seriously, how do you manage to blow up 90 seconds into an exhibition game?

Wish there was video of it

I was at CHA for the game and can confirm. It wasn't a massive Fran blowup, but he was unhappy.

Foster probably broke the news to him right before tip-off.

These postings of the hok boards are almost enough to make me go see what else is being said...but it's also enough to remind me why I don't.

It's like when you get into a conversation with a hok fan thinking that it could be a good, observant conversation, and then the layers peel off and you immediately regret the decision.

Foster family grew up in Iowa and has been to countless Iowa sporting events and you’re telling me it took until 7 days before signing day to realize “hey this Fran guy is pretty emotionally unstable”

That’s got to be a Cyclone fan trolling.
I don't think so. I'm pretty sure I have seen him before in the few times I have been over there. And he is one of the few that are taking Fran's failure to recruit a P6 squad as an indictment of his coaching. There is a lot of sitting on hands and saying, "Meh, I don't know what else Fran could have done." Posters are attacking this guy because he is expecting that Fran land at least one decent recruit in each class.

Let's hope the rest of the fan base doesn't come to their senses.

I'm not telling you that. But even their fans are realizing that Fran's antics aren't doing his recruiting efforts any favors.

It could have very well reinforced a decision that was already made, though. Kind of a "I lost all doubts about my decision" moment.

Well he's had at least 2 usernames after that one.

Too bad the thread is closed. In the same discussion he said Tyrus McGee is a horrible athlete and a few months ago he threw down a thunder dunk over a seven footer that's as powerful as any dunk I've seen in a game. Would love to link the vid.
