Rebounding is a combination of effort and skill. You can overcome your lack of size and skill though by working hard for rebounds. You don’t have to be the biggest, most athletic or most skilled guy on the court to get rebounds. Work hard by putting yourself in the right spot, anticipating where the shot might miss and you’re going to get rebounds.

Think Kenny Pratt....

I’m sure somebody did. We’ve got some pretty ****** people that post in the game threads.
Yeah you’re probably right on that. I just assumed he was implying that I was the one saying that because he quoted my reply. I’d be surprised if it wasn’t said by someone.

Seton Hall's speed and defense were issues. Also seeing one SH player get a rebound amongst 3-4 ISU players was a nice touch.

Love Halli but he tries to do too much sometimes. A pass can just be a pass without a jump and spin and no look.

I think this team looks about the best of Prohm's teams for this time of year with exception to Niang's senior season.

The 16-17 team was OK but was really handcuffed without someone in the middle.

Who knows though...things looked good after Maui last year and then they were all over the place for 3-4 months.

I'll expect an NITish type of final record unless someone really emerges and things get solidified earlier.

Why? There’s tons of opportunities for many quad one wins with our schedule.
When has a team gone 16-15 and received an at-large bid? At the end of the day the Big 12 is going to have opportunities with Kansas, Baylor, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, Texas and West Virginia but you won’t get any bump for KSU and TCU this year. League is still very good but down from the last four years.

I really think it has to be Conditt that emerges and shows he can play a good 20-25 minutes per game without being in foul trouble.

I don’t disagree. They do play hard. That’s why I’m confused at the lack of rebounding. Rebounding is often effort and just comes down to who wants it more.

Some of it is style. When Conditt is in and he's trying for blocks he's way out of position for rebounds. When it's Young and Jacobson in, well they are two guys who are barely 6'8" and not great leapers, so they just get beat out sometimes.

For some reason I feel like Seton Hall is way underrated at no. 16. What don’t they have? The physical defense they put on us after we took the lead shut us down. They have a potential NBA star, skilled bigs, depth, etc. Either they are underrated or we have even further to go than I thought.
