The out hustled is just inexcusable. Sure this is the game Iowa circles at the beginning of the season, but the disparity in effort was just huge.

Fran is Iowa’s Dan McCarney. He took over a dumpster fire, has a very low ceiling but gets his team up for the big rivalry game to try an establish relevancy. It’s Steve responsibility to realize that and get the team to keep the power structure status quo

To be fair to Jacobson, this coaching staff is making him play out of his natural position. He is willing to do what he is asked to do, but he is a post player. Our coaching staff has no idea on how to play with twin towers.

He’s a post player at a mid major. He has no business starting on a Big XII team. It’s like when Bryan Peterson was our starting point guard.

I'm at the point where I'm reevaluating how much time I spend on ISU basketball this year. The last 3 years(this year included) have been mostly joyless minus a few flurries last year. We're staring at missing the tournament for the 2nd time in 3 years with next year possibly being another rebuilding year. We've had talent every year with Prohm other than the Milwaukee year and every single time we've underachieved. At this point it's pretty clear what we're getting with him as the coach. IDK, maybe I'm wrong, but this is like the 4th year out of 5 where it feels like we should be better than we are and I'm not really in the mood to wait around to see if we finally get there or not. Mainly because I feel like I know the answer

I'll watch for Halliburton because he's special but, then again..
