You know, I do think there are good and valid arguments to be made on both sides of the when or where to foul or not to in that situation, but I have to think that even if the same exact shot happens in the same exact way, with George hesitating/not getting his hands up, that 9 times out of 10 that shot gets missed.

Classic Cyclone nut punch kind of loss.
Don’t foul the shooter, very good chance he fouls guarding an awkward position for him.

to the ones who don’t fix it

Well the next time you see one of the current top coaches in the country ripping into a player or team during an NCAA tourney game next March, I guess you'll assume the player did what they were supposed to do?

Another great sign for how things are going all around.

(If it's deleted...it's Zion Griffin saying he's deleting his Twitter account.)

Good for the young man.

Understands enough to get away from what's probably a lot of toxic behavior going toward his teammates and coaches that he's put in hundreds of hours of time with.

Bane(?) clearly had the last two touches of the ball. The foul was pretty blatant, and while they're not supposed to change their calls that way, I don't really blame him for doing so.

It is a bad rule. Needs to be changed so the foul can be taken into account while awarding the out of bounds. Not that the foul gets applied, just if the foul is missed it can be taken into account when awarding the out of bounds.

I watched the game on DVR. My wife had checked the final score and was teasing me about telling me the result. Last time she did that was football last year against KState. I guess it's my fault for thinking that meant an ISU win but holy **** did it suck a bit more when we lost.

Yeah, happens all the time. It couldn't have ANYTHING to do with the negativity right now.
I mean I'm not saying that.. Monte did the same thing at the beginning of the season to eliminate distractions. A few of our football players have done the same thing before camp.

I never said anything about the players, this is on Prohm, he had no idea the screen was coming, that threw a wrench in whatever he drew up. He anticipated fouling a guy who was dribbling as fast as he could to the 3pt line.

What difference does it make if like you said....

he got lucky it went it

I mean.......where do you draw the line with blame..........half court, 3/4 court, 94 feet? Had coach Dixon drawn up the perfect play for an 80 foot heave.......would you still blame coach Prohm if it went in?

I understand if his point is to stay focused and block out distractions. But I just did a twitter search and I don't think I saw one negative tweet directed at him. I did the same thing for Prohm after that FAMU game and as mad as people were online, very few had actually tweeted at Prohm directly.

So for as much as people talk about fans attacking players and coaches online, things seem pretty restrained.

Actually glad to hear what you found. As bad as the last week+ has been we don't need direct social media (or from the stands on senior day) attacks taking place.

But does it allow for a player to indirectly see things? Even taking the option away from people to go after the players is powerful.

Sure, there are ways for them to indirectly see it. They can't escape it entirely. But I doubt many of them are following random Joe Fan who goes ballistic online after every loss.

Lol..you're grasping dude. Dixon drew up a play to get him a shot, it caught Prohm off guard, that's not luck to me but I guess we can agree to disagree. Do you think our coach can never get outcoached?

Steve actually made some really nice adjustments tonight, the 4 guard lineup was really effective, he tossed in a zone a few possesions ( I think we need a little more practice running it we didn't look super comfy, maybe it was bc of a couple of young guys out there) and we played the middle screen much better in the 2nd half. Definitely things that we can build on but in the end, Jamie got him. Idk why that's so tough for people to admit.

The zone was disruptive and I welcome seeing a lot more of it
