glad i got to see his last game as a clone

Disappointing that our last memory of him in Hilton will be trying to play 1 handed after the injury and looking awkward doing it. Man this is a giant nut kick to a season where our groins already have taken enough kicks already.

Feel terrible for him and the team. Question is now, do we only play players that will be here next year for development purposes? Half kidding...

Great, go get paid kid. Add him to the growing pile of ISU players currently being paid to play basketball.

Best thing now for the program is he gets 100% healthy, drafted highly, and becomes a great NBA player, carrying the Cyclone flag for us at the next level. He has more NBA potential than any other of our guys this century save maybe Royce.

Way up there
Bummed for Tyrese, he's everything you look for in a student athlete but he's got better days ahead of him. Look forward to watching him in the NBA. Also bummed we'll have people using this to defend Prohm's coaching deficiencies every game the rest of the year (and offseason/next season), this takes a lot of pressure off of him. The bball threads are going to be more dramatic than the political threads around here.

Pack it up. Burn this season down and never speak of it again. Doomed from day one.

As I watched the first game of the season ...I thought..."These guys can't shoot worth a darned", it's going to be a long and painful season ....But I didn't think it would turn out this bad...Burn it down and start over next season...and remember GO Cyclones!

Best wishes on a speedy recovery to Tyrese.
It has been a pleasure watching him play in the cardinal and gold and, much like the other recent pro's, I'll be rooting hard for him at the next level. Great Cyclone who I believe has left positive impact to the program and I guess will in the future.

they don’t do that and I agree with it. Senior day should be players who are actually seniors.

Tyrese is a great kid and a great player and a great Cyclone. He’s earned the right to go make money. But he hasn’t earned a Senior day recognition.

Disagree 100%. We let grad transfers who play one season here go on senior day. If Merrill Holden (good guy, not ripping him at all) get to talk on senior day, TH should get to speak.

I see Marcus Morris is getting his jersey retired Monday against us. Do we lose that game by over 50 on Big Monday?

If only I could sell all of that Tyrese imaginary stock I bought after seeing him play in the first few games. That would make this day suck a little less. I don't really like the NBA either but maybe I'll watch him play a couple times.

I swear you could hear a pop on that video live but I'm not going to re-watch.

Hard to see him coming back, and that Twitter post all but verifies that. If it was his last game as a Cyclone, thanks for the memories and contributions to Iowa State, Tyrese. Your infectious smile and charisma will be remembered just as much as your remarkably efficient play the last couple of years.

A lot of people, including Prohm, new this was probably going to be Tyrese's last season as a Cyclone well before this injury took place. I don't think people are going to use Tyrese as a crutch next year. Prohm will have ample time to find a replacement and put together the team for next year. This does not and should not take pressure off of Prohm, rather it puts pressure on him to not replicate this year. Next year will carry a lot of weight for Prohm and his future as the head coach.

Saturday was our last win unfortunately. Just gotta get through this last month and hope next year there’s something.

There's nothing next year, and there's nothing that can be done to fix it really.

If we keep our current staff, we're writing off 2021-2022 as well.
