You think peeps will not attend because we had a bad basketball season? I am thinking it will have zero impact. It's the Cyclone tour, not the basketball tour. Peeps will be interested in hoops but it's summer and more peeps will want to talk football and than some mo' football. I'll probably drive down to the Surf if the weather makes for a nice driving day.

If attendance is down it might have more to do with the fact it is the same old thing each year with little change. Communications and hosting social stuff just has never been an ISU Athletic Department strength area. Hell, I hear more from the Gophers locally than I hear from ISU and I am not a Gopher donor. I get a crazy amount of emails/mail from the local Gophers and Gophers WBB and I've bought like maybe 4 tickets in the last five years.

Not what I'm saying at all, I'm saying that if someone were thinking the way to communicate with JP their displeasure with the bball program was to go there and publicly berate Prohm, that wouldn't carry any weight with JP. JP is only going to really care when it appears the fans stop caring. Showing up and being an ass isn't not caring. These things being a dud would say more about the program than fans ********. Dealing with ****** fans comes with the territory, nothing to be alarmed about, fan apathy is much more of a concern for the AD.

These events being poorly received would go further than disgruntled fans making asses of themselves.

My guess is FAR more people support our program and these coaches than many want to believe. My guess is attendance is at or above prior years just to show the support for our entire ISU program.

As disappointed as I am in this year's basketball success, I'd LOVE to attend just to shake CSP's hand, look him in the eye and say go get 'em next year...

I can't defend CSP (or CMC for that matter) but I will support them as long as they are ISU coaches.

Agreed, I'd be surprised to see a dip in attendance. Even if I don't love where our program is or disagree with things Prohm does, I don't have any personal ill will towards the man and believe he'll work as hard as he can to turn things around as long as he is our coach. I'll attend these every chance I get, especially now that I have kids and can start their Cyclone inundation.

Coaches don't coach because it's a joy ride or rainbows and unicorns.

When you're one of the relatively few to be selected to make a few million a year representing a power 5 conference school as the head coach of a sports team, it's an honor no matter which way you slice it.

Coach Prohm I'm positive is not fearful of any criticism, it comes with the territory.

Man it’s one thing to have your opinion on him as a basketball coach but to come at him for his faith is a little too much....

There were a few people coming after him on here after the Register article about him after he was hired.

That being said, the poster you quoted has shown themselves to be a pretty miserable person; I wouldn't put too much stock in what they say.

...all the happy, satisfied fans. I imagine he'll get a lot of positive encouragement though because, well, can't hide behind a anonymous name on a message board. Go Cyclones! Hope next year will be better.

Iowa State University of Science and Technology (Iowa State) is a public land-grant and space-grant research university in Ames.....

And is a FOOTBALL school. Let Prohm stay home and away from the mean ISU fans. We're known for being just buck wild ya know.

People not attending this would be a bigger deal than someone showing up and being an ass in terms of getting Pollards attention. It's easy to write off the lunatic that turned a family event into a **** show. These events being poorly received would go further than disgruntled fans making asses of themselves.

Agreed. But dont do that. Campbell, Fennelly, Dresser and co all deserve our support and to show up to these things
