Closed just short of 1300, an all-time one day record. Watched the CBS Evening News curious to see what they'd say-- and nothing. Not worth reporting a financial record, I guess.

There really was not a whole lot of news on the crash either.

Fed seems hell bent on propping up the market at all time highs. Will there be any ammo left when we really need it?

What we are seeing is a supply shock rather than demand, thus the tools the fed has aren't as effective. At least that is what I think someone wrote on an economics blog I read.

Biggest % gain since march 2009 on the Dow. All aboard the train.

Do you think Biden momentum against Bernie is helping? mute point?

Oh well. Easy come, easy go. Seriously tried re shorting this market but they weren't having it. An emergency rate cut and I was driving at the time.... Not enough to even last an hour? The put options were not buying the rally and not moving as much as they should. Tried to get a put spread but no luck.

I had 10,000 shares of INO and sold two weeks ago to break even. Today they are up like 80% and I would have made about $50,000 if I would have held onto them.

How the hell do people know when to hold stocks overnight for a huge pop??

Step 1: Know someone on the board
Step 2: Have said person call you on a burner phone.

I wouldn't go too quick. I see a potential bottom around 23,500. But this is shifting from a bull to bear in the short-medium term. Also lots of support in the DOW between 25,300 and 27,139.

And if this turns into the real deal then who knows. You could trigger a whole tsunami and see who's been swimming with no clothes.

I have a lot of questions about your metaphor.

Some one I know is getting a rather large bonus next Friday... How should I advise this mystery person?

A guy I know has a huge tax bill coming up and was planning on setting a significant amount of stock to cover it, but their account has taken a beating over the last couple weeks. I'll PM you his bank account. TIA. :)

Make up a fake feel good story and then ask for donations on venmo or GoFundMe. Duh

Anyone want off this roller coaster yet? I'm ok with the ups and downs but if this starts spinning I'm outta here.

Coronavirus could make for some cheap cruise line and airline stock right now. If you're a buy and hold type, this could be a solid 23-25% return if you play your cards right......

RCL is currently at basically its 52 week low and 50% off its 52 week high, which was less than 2 months ago. I picked up a few shares. Even if it only goes back to $100/share I'll take my 25%ish return. I'll collect the dividends in the mean time.
