I don’t think it’s that bad.

IIRC Sloan was a late bloomer in HS. Maybe he had some injuries too. I think he was a below the radar guy that didn't get much interest from ISU, UNI or Iowa (or other top programs). Shapiro was a much higher rated recruit at the time. Just goes to show you how big a jump someone can make from HS to college.

4 time place winner at state and 2 time state champion. As a senior he was 47-1 with 30 pins. Not too shabby IMO.

Well ****! He won, but Parker almost wrestled a technically perfect match. Then with 30 seconds left (again), he gives up position and SDSU turns it into a TD with about 8 seconds left.

I swear...a LOT.
