All I care is we get back to that 4/6 place in the conference area and hopefully make the tourney. This is where I want our base to be. If he can do it with what he has, fine, if he needs X player, fine.

It’s hard to think about that it wasn’t that long ago that Texas Tech and TCU were bottom feeders of the big 12. Throw in Kansas, Baylor & what Drew has done, plus Huggs at WV. I mean the coaching is elite, imo, and getting 4-6 in the conference isn’t a cakewalk. Of course I agree our expectations are doable. Just think it’s easier said than done.

I agree that there's good coaches in the conference, but this kind of sounds like when people used to say ISU's football record was due to their schedule when in reality, they were just bad.

Then they got decent, and started finishing better in the conference.

Any decent P6 basketball team is going to finish at least in the middle of any conference. ISU and the B12 are no exception.

This post is for CW or anyone who listened to the latest podcast with Williams and Blum. What do you think CW meant when he was discussing recruiting and he said something along the lines of “I have a feeling or idea where this is going”

Thought it pretty clearly meant towards Prohm exiting the program in the next year or two.

I think other schools have done the right things to put or keep themselves in the top half of the big 12. Hindsight is 2020, but one has to question the actions that brought us to where we are.

Ok that’s what I thought too! Surprised CW went there since he always is an optimist. I agree that I think Prohm is probably at a point where he needs to figure out if he is going to sink or swim at a P5 school.

Using simple a 3 year moving average, we are currently running at 6 conference wins per season down from around 11 a few years ago. The rumors are out there if we don't make the tournament next year. The buyout goes down with every year that goes by. Kind of easy to imagine how things go.

that’s a pretty ****** thing for CW to do if what you say is true.

I haven’t listened to it but it could have just meant he thinks he knows who will be our transfers.

I do think Jamie is smart and allows his coaches to try to straighten things out and he when things look like they do seem to be improving he then makes a decision. Smart way to manage at a school like ISU.

However, I’m rooting for CSP to land some impact guys soon

Was curious about transferring from Air Force and what that means. Looks like Freshman/Sophomores get a pass on their commitment to serve if their resignations are accepted.

"Fourth- and third-class cadets (freshman and sophomore) who are separated by the Academy, or whose resignations are accepted, will ordinarily be completely relieved from all military duty, active or reserve, unless separated for egregious conduct."

Once their junior year starts it gets a little dicier with obligations for active duty even if they leave the academy.

Call it like you see it. I think if you listen to CW and Jared over the last 14 months they have been pretty honest on the state of the program.

Honesty isn’t ******. The writing is on the wall and it isn’t invisible ink.

Look at the roster, look at our results, and then look at what CW's job is. This isn't some outlandish thing to say.
