I do think that I went to the half day on day #3 a little too quickly. If we could agree on a guideline for going to half days that would help.

I think when it comes to half days, it should be a percentage of the original players. Something like 30% of the total players remaining, then go to half days.

I'll just point out that someone that his having a good game voting for mafia doesn't mean they are mafia. I didn't get any serious heat but there were a few comments about my voting record being too good
To be fair, that's exactly how Cash got by a few games ago and was the sole survivor. If I was an inno I would have been pretty suspect on the people who hadn't missed a vote against a mafia member about 7 days in

CYme, the mafia killed you, not Vikes. He killed Farnsy, and then the next night he investigated MeowingCows.

Calm down, sir. I killed your friend, not you.

Yes, my bad. You investigated cows and then could have hit.

I just wanted to point out that you played the game perfectly with those powers. Too often we have vigilantes who go crazy with power killing without any knowledge. You kept on getting information before going in for the kill which is the right way to do it, I was just wondering if you had a known mafia when you killed Farnsworth.

I would say just don't do it. Some people haven't been able to contribute yet Some morning people may not check back in until the next day and miss the second half day. Maybe it's OK when there are less players remaining later in the game that can agree to it and it's announced the day before.

When I saw the other signup thread I assumed the innocents had lost somehow.

My thought on this...
People are TOO impatient early in the game, and I think that spur of the moment changes to half-days (even if you don't levy clap watches) are unfair to participants that are less able to be active in the morning. Half days toward the end of a game are anticipated, and people can work around them (especially if the first half extends to at least 1pm (to allow for lunch hours). But in the first few days of the game (even if it's clear someone is toast) ending early skews voting records and hinders strategizing.

Just my 2 cents.

Yeah you acting like a fool had priory members screaming in the private chat that we were going to have to stick our neck out for you.
Heh...
I thought it was pretty ballsy of him to fail to vote yesterday, then come in & chew people out for screwing things up that day. :D

Nope. I definitely would have hit the known mafia. I had a nice list of known innos and finally found some mafia.

One other thing - ghosts need to continue to be careful about what they post. I'm not trying to single you out KC but you said "vote vikes" after you were dead and I know it was out 100% innocent but it had someone questioning if you were trying to make me look inno when I could be mafia with you. On the flip side, someone could see it as me being cleared and then I'm a "known" inno and mafia could hit me.

There is a balance that I think we are struggling to find. Im one of those complaining about being regular inno all the time. Makes the game boring. But, too many specials, perks, and twists can make the game extremely one sided. (Like we have had the last 4 or 5 games)

It's two different philosophies. Having more makes the game possibly more interesting/eventful, but also may be unbalanced. Having less makes the game probably more skill-based (having to identify information almost purely through conversation), but also arguably more boring.

I gotta tell you - I got absolutely NO sleep after that, and I'm extremely sorry. I was riffing off of JM's half-vote, just trying to poke fun at you. I never thought anyone would take it seriously because you & I had been back & forth that day. When I realized my mistake it had been quoted twice and I couldn't delete it. You are absolutely correct to call me out on it. I was trying to figure out how to fix it, but it (thankfully) resolved. I am SO sorry I did that, and I will NOT do it again.

It's all good. No need to apologize. I wasn't upset by it when it happened but I thought I should mention it. I think ghost posts have gotten better over time.

I think it’s a balancing act. If you’re going to have a lot of special innocent roles. Then you’ve got to give mafia a chance to have it balanced out. If not you see what happens like the last few games have played out.

We have had a lot of rookie mayors in the last few games as well (salty, moores, myself all mayored our first games in the last 3ish months). It definitely takes a bad game to be like "damn I overpowered one side badly"
