From the looks of it, Mid American Energy Field at Jack Trice Stadium will be the safest place in Story County aside from Mary Greely Medical Center.

My only question is, and I hope this gets addressed in the press conference, is how the student section is going to work. Non-students will keep to their own seats, but keeping students spaced apart could be tricky, as they stand the whole game and will come with friends.

Sorry if someone has already mentioned, but I've got JCC Hillside tickets for our family. Are we still okay to sit on the hillside?

Instead of 6 feet and 15 minutes, which is freaking arbitrary as hell, it should be an interaction count limit. People should limit the number of people they interact with in a day to x number of people.
Hey, I agree with you. The less people you are around, the less chance you have to catch it. To me that always made logical sense.
Do both. Plus wear a mask. I see no reason not to take every precaution.

If I caught it, I might survive it—but I damn well wouldn’t want to spread it to my 89 year old Dad. Or for anyone else to.

Put a huge window as a barrier between the students and the rest of the stadium, and don't have any other fans located next to them.

Maybe have one entrance/exit reserved for students only.

Sort of kidding.

I think they actually do the reserved entrance thing at WI or at least they ramp up the security along those areas as they realize the game has started and trickle in.

This actually sounds like a pretty good idea.

I’m curious about the infection rate among students in the wake of all those unmasked bar line photos the first week of class.

My 2 cents:

He's VERY clear regarding the consequences. If those of you that are part of the 25K fans in attendance do NOT follow the procedures laid out, there will be NO fans at the Oklahoma game.

This is on YOU, people. Do it right.
Agree, also this may encourage some self policing as well.

My guess is that based on seating location, there may only be one gate where a person is allowed to enter. So some will be required to use gate 1, others will be required to use gate 2 and so on.

Didn’t mention a mask because it is being required.

Are they going to try to restrict resale in any way? I’m not sure they can but if that is a possibility we have 2 tickets I need to return.

Hopefully you aren't going off the NY times article, President Winterstein is discussing what the correct numbers are with them for their corrections. Using NY times researched data is not a wise decision.

Yes, that would be the smart marketing move by her. She does realize that not all ISU students are getting their testing done on-campus? And that they are spreading it to the community? Just checking because the 906 number jives with Johns Hopkins' totals for the last seven days for the county:

And also the louder you are being and more yelling you are doing the greater distance viral particles are expelled. In a game environment that would increase the distance beyond 6 ft. 6 ft is just a guideline for when doing normal business and having conversations at room levels

Correct. And while masks are a mitigation tactic that helps a lot, it is just one of many efforts that need to be followed. This is irresponsible., but consistent with ISU's approach.
