And not all students live in story county or get tested there. So should she add those in? There are two who are online in our town 90 minutes away. One got tested and was negative, was that included or should it be. We can what if this for weeks but it won’t get us anywhere.

The discussion was about the NYT article and how Wintersteen wanted to fight it. Which is dumb, because it was correct. And the spike happened directly two weeks after 801 day. I was addressing your response that the article was invalid because Wintersteen said so.

I just love the "dad preemptively yelling at his kids in his car before church threatening to take away their electronics if they are bad" vibe to all this.

Looking for a good ISU mask. The one I got through the alumni association is awful. Anybody with a good link or source? I live in the Quad Cites. TIA

I have several of these off Amazon. Good quality, adjustable, even comes with a carbon filter that you can install inside a pocket (I don't use it).

Hot Take: Pollard pushes ahead with this plan after the NY times article in an effort to get top billing and nationally-televised TV slot "Look at what those Cyclones are doing while in the middle of a pandemic!".

Thought they might go with the split season option, so I waited until this announcement to ask for any refunds. Now it seems that they are trying to do something in-between the previous Option 2 (25% split season) and Option 3 (50% with reassigned seats). So today, we opted out of nearly half of our large group of tickets.

Okay... I'm not trying to say I have a source but I heard from someone who heard from someone who has a kid on the team... they pretty much have a Varsity and Junior Varsity squad now. This 53 man roster tweet sort of backs it up.

Split the team in ~half and if there's an outbreak on the Varsity squad the JV will come up and the games (maybe) continue.

BOCO and various Etsy sellers have them online. It's tough to get the right fit, though.

Ooops! FOCO is the correct online store name.

Makes a lot of sense, would keep entire position groups from being taken out.

The kids aren't going to be quiet for an entire 500 mile summer drive with a broken air conditioner either.

I find it noteworthy that they are using every row, not skipping rows like at some venues.
Yeah, looking at that seating chart reinforces our decision to opt out this season. BTW, our seats are "occupied". I don't know if that's because the recent opt outs are still included in the chart, or if they have already "re-assigned" our seats.

Whoever gets them - cheer loudly for me, please!

We waited until the last minute last week to opt out of this year (rolling it forward to next year). Combination of a lot of things, but w/o tailgating, it's not really worth the drive for us as it would still be a whole day affair with much of it being in the car and/or traffic. We usually avoided the traffic as we'd arrive as soon as the donor lots would open (if we didn't stay overnight in the RV).

They said we could change our minds this week if we wanted to, but I doubt we will - but will definitely be back in the Jack next year.

Ours is the same -> still listed as occupied on the chart.. so maybe the charts were originally based on the 30k season tickets or they are just behind a few days.

I'd imagine that part of the Athletic Department's thinking is knowing if people get too comfortable watching from home they may start to wonder what they are spending all that money on. I used to love going to games, and I still do. But once we had kids and started staying home for games more I realized I kind of liked it.
