Not exactly sure.
I see you've given this a lot of thought and I applaud you for that. I'm writing some of this down.

No, it's called be an old parent. You soon learn what works and what doesn't. Along with farming, you get an idea of what will survive five to six hours sitting in a pickup or tractor and still be semi edible by that time. More trial and error than thought.

Either way, thanks for some of the ideas. I'll definitely be using some.

That's my plan. Was talking with 1 of the people I have season tickets with and he was saying the bathroom is the main spot of concern. But after talking it out we figure we have less than half the people we normally do and won't be out tailgating and drinking for 6 hours prior plus only pop and water for concessions they should get much less usage. Plus you can always get up in the middle of a quarter to use them when hardly anyone else is to avoid the halftime rush. The challenge will be what to bring in to eat especially for an 11am game. For a 2:30 or evening kick off at least you can get a decent meal in before hand but if you are showing up around 9am or so to head to your seats it's going to be mid afternoon before the game is over so going to need a good breakfast beforehand and some decent snack food or something to bring in to hold you over for lunch.

I have a feeling there will be plenty of self policing going on because we want this to work and set the example of how you can have fans safely at a game.

This is the most wholesome thing I've seen on this site in years.

Breakfast: wrap a couple breakfast burritos in tin foil and throw them in. Get some packs of salsa and you will be good to go. Lunch, a burger will stay semi warm and even a slightly warm burger is still decent. Throw in a package of red vines or peanuts and you have some snacks. You want something to drink? Get some 20 ounce bottles of your favorite beverage and premix them right before you go in. Make sure you have napkins, many will probably forget and have a mess on their hands.

I was even thinking of maybe going through a drive thru when I get into Ames for something to take in. Also thought about maybe putting a cold pack in the bottom of my clear bag and can pack like a cold sandwich/wrap or some beef sticks too. Could probably even do lunchables too. Will be interesting to see how creative people get without tailgating and concessions. Also no need to premix drinks as you can usually just sneak in a few shooters of alcohol in your pockets and mix them at your seat - I've done that many times and as long as you are not making a scene about it no one will care. Clear bag policy states you can only bring in unopened bottled water but wonder if that gets relaxed a bit with the current situation. I'm not really concerned about sneaking in booze this year, I'm just glad to have the chance to go so that's not really high on my list of priorities this season.

I'm happy Cyclone fans will get a chance to make some noise in JTS, but this doesn't feel quite right. I would hate to see a bunch of our fans get in the stadium, start taking off masks, and get endlessly ridiculed by the national media. I'm just imagining a few anti-maskers who don't feel the rules apply to them getting into it with masked fans trying to follow protocols.

And of course, it would be exponentially more embarrassing to be the source of a superspreader event. I do think, however, if fans can follow the rules, this won't be an issue.

LOL, it sounds cheesy I know but it's a legit thing to deal with this year. Usually you get some calories in tailgating and if you are still hungry there are plenty of options in the stadium but this year you won't have either. 11am kickoff the game may not be over until 3pm so I dunno about you but I would be starving by end of the game if I didn't have something of substance to eat.

Perhaps less drinking will lead to less beer munchies.

Save some money too. Win/win.

You do you lol. I don't have a big appetite, so food is not usually one of my concerns. 4 hours of sobering up during a game, on the other hand.

And remember folks, don't be slobs. Pick up and throw into the garbage what you bring in. Don't leave a mess because dealing with peoples food and drinks will have your remnants on them and cleaning will be one of the highest risk jobs for Covid there. Besides, just be considerate.

Friend that usually works games for CSC had already decided to skip this year and this plan definitely confirmed his decision with his age and health. Wondering if they will have trouble getting people to work or get people signing up as a way to see a game?

I thought an older worker at Walmart was going to get assaulted by a guy smirking at everyone with his mask on top of his head using the self checkout. He flipped her the double bird.

It will be just like the airlines where people pretend they are drinking the entire flight. Enforcement would be a hazardous job and won’t happen.

Anxious to see where the re-seating has placed us. That will probably be the determining factor on whether I opt out or not. I've had season tickets for 15 years but am only a Century level donor and have 3 seats in section C, so I'm not sure where that will put me in the pecking order. I'd be happy literally anywhere in the upper deck, but if I get placed in the lower level corners or endzone, I'm probably going to opt out.

I believe the email yesterday said seat assignments would go out on Sept. 3.

If everybody follows the rules, ie. wear masks and stay in their seats and not move closer to people, everything should be fine. However, if all these people find a place to tailgate before the game without face coverings if people aren't wearing them at the game there could be issues. I would hate to be the people working at the game that have to try and enforce the face covering rule.

Not reading through 17 pages to see if this has been addressed.

Anyone know what the procedure will be for the student section. I scanned the map in the email sent to fans, and the student section wasn't visible. I assume the students who get tickets will have an assigned spot that will likely change for each game.

If any group were to ruin fans ability to attend games I see it being the students.

Well, we're talking about Iowans here, so I wouldn't hold your breath.

Just surprised ISU wouldn't hold off until the October 3rd game to bring fans in. Have one home game without fans and let the initial surge from students returning pass before bringing 25,000 fans into Ames. Skipping 1 game gives an extra 2 weeks to let things settle.
