This.Well, we made a pathetic scum move Monday. Just making things right now.

I like that deciding to not play football in a pandemic makes us "pathetic scum." Holy hyperbole, Batman!
Why do they need to ask?If they'd just ask me if they can keep my money I'd say yes for the good of the program and to keep Matt Campbell around...
Data has shown that athletes are safer in their team environment compared to cancelling the season and letting them loose among the general population. Sorry, the truth hurts
No, the truth doesn’t hurt dumbass because even if what you said were true that doesn’t make us pathetic scum
It won’t be zero. Family will still be allowed.hopefully reevaluate for the OU game. Probably the right move but surprised at the quick change from 40% to 0%...
That is like if I were to say the sky is purple. I know people are going to call me an idiot. Why would them calling me an idiot cause me to change my opinion. The criticism isn’t on the decision for no fans. The criticism is on either caving to public pressure or not knowing the public pressure. Either is a sign of a weak leader.I love how the baseline is digging in, defending your decision, and not weighing any feedback to the initial decision is the standard instead of listening, receiving the feedback, and making a new decision based on that feedback...
Props to ISU for listening, considering, and changing the decision. Not easy to do and, in a situation where there is no right or wrong answer, coming out and explaining why they did it. It's refreshing in today's world.

If facts changed that would be one thing. Facts have frankly gotten better since Monday as Monday was the peak.
A joke according to who? You and the chicken little media outlets?I can't imagine Wintersteen is too excited about having 25k in Jack Trice now that we're a national joke AND most of the faculty have let her know it's stupid as well.
But I don't think you'd have to go to "no fans" all of the sudden, but JP might just have to. He hurt himself on that one. He could have gone with 10k possibly and gotten away with it, but he got greedy and now will probably be forced to go to zero fans.
lolas they generally have no freedom on the coasts
There would not be an "outbreak" from the game. If you are afraid, STAY HOME!hopefully reevaluate for the OU game. Probably the right move but surprised at the quick change from 40% to 0%...
This likely improves chances that fans will be back later in the season when the local numbers go down. An outbreak at the Louisana game might postpones fans from the rest of the games this season. Wintersteen probably relayed this point to JP.
The ramp up to the big percentages started 14 days ago. Guessing it will level for a couple days and then start dropping.% positive has gone up since Monday and the school board voted unanimously to start the school year with remote learning after the 25k announcement.
Welp. You didn't just move the goal posts... you put them inside the "bubble" with the players. This is all about the fans being in the stands. And, actuallly it's about the fans being in Ames. They could follow every regulation to a "T" in the stadium and you're still talking about interaction and exposure risk at hotels, gas stations, and other public places.
I think I may be a shirttail cousin to Brock Purdy...suppose that will work?It won’t be zero. Family will still be allowed.
