Kansas and its coaching staff have already given up. There's no accountability and the assistant coaches have no interest in coaching, just worrying about their next destination. There have been fights in practice without repercussions so seeing them have an outbreak isn't all that surprising.

yup

why would kids want to stay locked up in their rooms any more longer?

i do think the contract tracing thing is a little ridiculous but that's neither here nor there

This just gives Texas players a higher chance to catch covid while they're sitting around with nothing to do which means there's a higher chance they'll have to forfeit in two weeks.

I don't think those are connected at all. Pollard making the decision for no fans was based on the current COVID climate within our state. This game not being played comes down to either Kansas State's inability to stay disciplined or just pure bad luck. I lean towards the former on that.

It would be a 4D chess move by Pollard to get the good PR of announcing they're doing their part to fight Covid with no fans for a game that doesn't actually happen.

Imagine two December games in Jack Trice on back-to-back weekends, assuming fans are allowed back in then. That'd be the cherry on top of the most surreal home season ever.

This doesn't really make sense though, we have a better run game he's a less efficient passer. He'll likely finish this year with his worst completion % and QB rating will be significantly worse. Those things have nothing to do with how much we throw, in fact, those should both be higher based on less passing and a better run game. This is is worst WR group hands down but he hasn't been the guy we saw the first two years. The good news is, even with lower numbers, he's still a really good QB.
Ya, I've always found Brock to be a good player. I never thought he was a leave early first rounder. Maybe he still can be? but this year doesn't lend to that.

I was thinking about whether you just shut down the bad teams in each conference that aren't going to make bowl games.. but then essentially 75% of the Big 10 would have to shut it down.
Can't do that this year, there ARE NO bad teams this year. Everyone is bowlin'!!!!

In a perfect world, yes, every team would go bowling. But, some bowls are not going to happen due to $$. There have been quite a few already that have said they aren't going to have their game. Lower end bowls mostly.
