2005 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP. It was a fun car for the first 5 years - and then it wasn't. The exterior developed the paint and rust problems that GM cars of that era developed no matter how much I took care of it, the interior wore down, and the electrical died after owning the car for 11 years. When it died it honestly felt like a car twice its age.

Ditto. I bought a brand new Corvette less than 2 years out of college, because I was making stupid oilfield cash. Don't regret buying a fun car, but should have bought used.

Mine is used, only one previous owner. C5 LeMans blue. It's really a great car. Just can't really drive it in my situation, which makes me sad.

What’s the dumbest purchase you’ve made? I’m not talking like realizing you’ve over paid for a car and have buyers remorse, more like something you would have 100% been better off without.

I’ll start: spent $100 on CBD oil as I was told it would help with poor sleep and anxiety. Didn’t do a damn thing. Felt like I got duped by a snake oil salesmen. Might as well have purchased a $100 bottle of water.

Same on the cbd. Make a day trip and get the real deal. Works wonders for sleep.

Probably stupid, but one of those things that you just get forced into. Our dog ate a 1.25 inch rock from the landscaping, and by the time we figured out what was going on it was the 4th of July weekend, and the only place we could take her was the animal hospital in CR. $3000 later we got the dog back sans rock. The bad part is that she ate another rock about a year later and we couldn't get to the regular vet because of the weekend, so $3000 again. Spent the next summer digging up the river rock I had put down 5 years before. Stupid dog, should have bought a goldfish.

Behind you
Several years ago at a buddy's wedding in Cabo, spent $150 on a single cigar.

Same vacation, bought a round of Cabo Wabo tequila shots at Sammy Hagar's bar, found the $225 receipt in my pocket the next morning.

Just recently got my credit card privileges back from wifey.

I wish you would have posted this exactly 2 weeks earlier...

My buddy that owns a bar charges $8 a shot for that stuff. He said it costs him $0.37.

White Balenciga shoes.
Thought I would look cool. They got stinky and gross after wearing them 3 times.
$1000 down the toilet.

Double Ditto. I bought a new Ford Sport Trac in 2005. Worst vehicle ever. Sold it back for a loss six months later.

There have been a few bar tabs over the years that hurt pretty bad in the morning (more ways than one) especially when you consider what you could have bought with the money.
