This is a small one, but on my mind because I just found the thing yesterday. Bought a "dribble up" basketball for my daughter last Christmas. I seem to recall it being around $100, but it came with an app and drills she could do. Not sure she used it once and I just found it deflated in the garage.

My dumb*** spent $100.00 on a basketball....

She’s young isn’t she? Lol, you will have many of those purchases in the future unfortunately. My lol sadly is a laugh since I’ve been there.

My oldest is 5, so I'm just getting started on these purchases. You know, the things they HAVE to have then use for a week and either lose or never touch. It's a tiny purchase, but my daughter insisted she wanted a yo-yo and wanted to learn how to do it. So I bought her a special training yo-yo that makes it easier to learn (it returns by itself, basically). $15 later she's lost it somewhere in the toy room and really isn't interested in looking for it.

This x100000. We fell for the bonded leather farse... NEVER AGAIN! Either get fabrics and change it out more often or spend the extra for leather and it'll last for awhile with maintenance

We got a bonded leather sectional, after a few years that crap flakes off and becomes a nightmare.

Either the boat or the mountain sled. Both were absolute money pits that do not hold value. Also, never had the time to fully enjoy.

Sad part is now that I live in TX near a really nice reservoir, my wife wants to give a boat another go.

A $1300 two seater theater style seating couch with a big console in the middle. Most uncomfortable thing I have ever owned and it was an impulse purchase. I never impulse buy anything (it took me 8 months to buy a set of golf clubs) so I really, really regretted it. The couch also weighed approximately 3,439 lbs.

Sold it for $250 on Craigslist. Was lucky to get that. It had barely been sat in.

Don’t buy furniture from a slumberland or Nebraska furniture type place unless you plan to buy a new set every 5-7 years. We buy from a local place that won’t sell that level of stuff and will repair stuff for free after warranty to show they believe they have quality stuff.

With furniture, either buy the $1000 couch every 5 years (or less) or the $3500 couch and keep it 10 years upstairs, 10 years downstairs and sell it used then. Quality pays.

I was having a great time one time when I was staying in Minneapolis. Decided to buy a round of shots for the whole hotel bar. Didn't even blink. Next morning I saw my receipt, WOOF

Buying for the bar usually means you got an extra 10 shots for the staff afterwards also.

I have several pairs of $300 to $500 dollar Jordan shoes that sit in their box and haven't gained any value (at least according to Flight Club whenever I check) like I hoped.

Several motorcycles over the years; 1974 BMW R/75 and a 2005 Triumph. I enjoyed riding but as time passed rode less and less. Parted with them and like a bad relationship I wish I had kept one or the other.

1000 dollars in Bitcoin in 2017. Sold for a loss of 500 for some VeChain, whoops a daisy. Although I should make my money back in a year.

bought a 2500 dollar gaming computer with student loans.

spent student loans on drinks at es tas (only partially regret)

la Z boy furniture. That **** is garbage now. I have flex steel in the basement, 100 times better.

Bought a Chrysler 200C

invested a ton into Phillips hue bulbs and eventually got rid of them for retrofit recessed lighting.
