Not exactly sure.
I have several pairs of $300 to $500 dollar Jordan shoes that sit in their box and haven't gained any value (at least according to Flight Club whenever I check) like I hoped.
I know a kid who flips shoes. Buys ones like this and resells them to make 40-50 bucks a pair. Even used shoes.

Most of mine are used and originally purchased from Flight Club. Unfortunately the most lucrative pair I would have were stolen when my car got broken into about 10 years back.

An Xbox off of Craigslist. Worked for about 3 hours and died. Apparently when those things fried, you could resurrect them briefly. Long enough to trick someone like me.

That was the end of my video game career, in retrospect.

Purchased a marriage license to marry the devil on November 2nd 1998.

You married her too? There's no way that there's more than one devil and I'm certain that I married it.

Not necessarily a single purchase, but we have bought a lot of video games and gaming consoles, even though neither of us is a huge gamer.

We currently have : original Atari, original NES, Sega Dreamcast, original Playstation, Super NES, Playstation 2, 3DO, Nintendo 64, XBox 360, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo Switch

This has been over the course of several decades and we've gotten a lot of use out of some of them, but it's still 11 gaming consoles.

Cat Genie. Self cleaning litter box. $300. Didn't work. Took forever to cycle through and "clean" Had to keep buying sanitizer solution which was expensive. Spooked both my cats into crapping behind our tv. Had to get rid of the cats, they were never the same.

She’s young isn’t she? Lol, you will have many of those purchases in the future unfortunately. My lol sadly is a laugh since I’ve been there.

This reminds me of my favorite story growing up. Apparently right after I was born (80's), my father bought a complete encyclopedia set so I could use it as I went through school. I laughed as I had access to new encyclopedias via CD every year in the early 90's! Not to mention the actual internet in high school. Rumor has it the salesman was a pretty attractive lady...so he had that going for him.

We know a couple of people that have them and swear by them but damn that is pricey.
Its a quality unit, but the rainbow sales process is predatory. Their scheme is to have the end user convince 12 of their friends to have a in home demo, then they can get the unit for free. But thats a lot of demos and hard to do. Also, they make you decide to buy it same day, if you do its $2800, if you wait its like $3900.

We had someone pull that **** on a wedding venue. It was significantly cheaper if we signed the contract that day. Kindly told them to piss off, we're no longer interested.

Precious Moment figurines.

Beanie Babies.

Precision quality John Deere toys.

All of them were gifts to loved family members that are essentially worthless dust collectors.
