Why change your commitment? Come to ISU and do whatever you want on the court. Want to chuck up 3's? Why not. Don't care to play defense, that's cool. Want to give half assed effort but people applaud your performance, that's why we're here.
Pretty much sums it up and our coaches complete and total lack of understanding what he’s supposed to be doing daily

@JakeSullivanNXT talking about how these non Iowa guys we have don’t care about the program/university and are only here for themselves basically. Says we need to recruit Iowa guys over them

That **** really bothers me. He was a non Iowa guy and clearly loves the program and he’s probably never spoken to any of these guys.

Hope he realizes the centerpiece and crown jewel that makes their entire team run is a guy from the DC area (a recruiting hotbed) in Luka Garza. Weiskamp is solid for sure, but again this whole thing revolves around Garza.

Funny that 90+% of your fanbase are Trump supporters and the players you put on the floor wouldn’t be given the time of day by those same 90%. Enjoy your product ISU! Go Hawks!
How lame are you to have to create a handle just to come to a rival message board immediately after your...wait for it... TOP-3 TEAM IN THE COUNTRY won a game they were supposed to dominate in. Congrats on hitting the lottery with a player like Garza. Fran's track record outside of that is nothing I would be too pleased with either. He gets full credit for being one of the only P5 schools to really give Luka a shot, but good luck getting that again.

Will laugh hysterically if Iowa gets knocked out before the Sweet 16 this year. Heck even before the Final Four will make me smile immensely at all the stupid Hawk fans.

Wow.... Jake isn’t the brightest bulb on the tree, huh?

So we shouldn’t have recruited him either then since he was from Minnesota? How about Niang, or Morris, or Matty Ice, or Naz, or Nader, or Royce, or Burton, or Shayok, etc, etc, etc?

Does Jake understand that none of these Iowa born Hawks are even close to NBA material?

Agree with a lot of this. Harris/Bolton/JCL/Johnson/Foster I’d my lineup if I were making it for this year. Just zero reason to not be giving Foster all the minutes he can handle at this point.

I’m actually less positive about the season if you can believe that though. I honestly think we’re looking at 5-6 wins.
Well we should beat the two layups in Jackson State and Chicago State. If we lose either one of those then JP should fire his ass at the end of the game. So that’s three.
They will beat KSU both home and away. They are more garbage then us. We should beat TCU at home and since Oklahoma still can’t play defense we might win one of those games. Give me one or two upsets beyond that and I think 6-7 wins in the conference is the ceiling. I would have the over/under at 4.5 wins. So probably 8-10 wins this year which was about my expectation after the first two contests.

Jake Sullivan from Minnesota who's most successful team was led by a Rucker Park baller and who lost an NIT game IN HILTON to Iowa?

Jake was a helluva of a player. He clearly is not a fan of CSP. Still loves Iowa State just extremely frustrated.

Testifying
Gonna need to have Foster develop more into an inside presence/get some lobs.
His perimeter defense was really bad but money should Conditt be getting more minutes than him.

Yeah I get it and part of his frustration comes from his love to ISU which...I'm not sure we'll see the same deal from a few recent players.

Just going at it with a 'Get Iowa kids out there' angle doesn't make sense.

Eh the one thing I will say is the whole NBA-material thing is a tad overplayed these days. Kentucky has had success for sure, but they've also really underachieved for the most part given their recruits and NBA talent. With teams losing players early to the NBA, if you aren't a blue blood, you really need to have good to great college players (Garza is a prime example here) that stick around so you have a senior-laden team. We had those in Niang, Thomas, Ejim, Naz etc. Now some of that crew ended up getting NBA contracts, which is the perfect storm for recruiting pitches AND seeing success while they are in school. THT for a year, a guy like Lindell leaving early (which made zero sense) and Haliburton leaving early are big deals to show we can get players to the NBA. But we never got anywhere near their biggest potential for Iowa State basketball while they were here because they left so early/didn't have cohesive teams.

I just liked that we competed tonight. Seems like we got some guys that give a ****. As long as that carries over to practice this team will get better.

I’m a big Solo fan but I think you start XF. He’s got more upside and I think Solo has shown he’s a guy that can come in off the bench and make hay.

He clearly couldnt at this level. He was a disaster here.

Same story now with prohm, probably.
So the Big East is a lesser level? Let's face it. McD was a good coach before and after ISU. He can flat out coach. But sometimes breaks don't go your way and it gathers steam. I'm actually curious if Fred will get it going in Nebraska. He struck Ames with a plan, and it worked well with transfers. Now everyone does it.
