I’d guess your estimate for OU is way low considering the proximity to Norman.

Agree. They might not be where they want to be this season from a national standpoint, but the Sooners are still the main event in Oklahoma. They will bring plenty of fans. I'd be surprised if we weren't outnumbered. We know we'll be louder though.

I think it'll be closer to 50/50 but I think @cyrocksmypants may be on to something, since we knew we were pretty much a lock long before OU did and ISU fans bought more tickets early. It's entirely possible that there are actually more ISU fans than OU fans. Likely? Probably not. But the limited seating availability combined with the date of certainty could have certainly tipped it in our favor...

It’s just math. The stadium holds 80,000. I can’t remember Covid rules, but if it’s 50%, that’s 40,000 seats. 5000 were given to each school. Vendors, corporate tickets probably get around 2500? That leaves 27500 tickets to be bought. Is it unreasonable to think isu fans couldn’t have bought 15000 of them having a week head start in knowing we were going, on top of the high of the first time in 100+ years? I don’t think it’s unreasonable to think that’s possible.

AT&T Stadium will be at a capacity of 18,000 for Saturday's game. That leaves 8,000 seats for public/Cowboys STH/Corporate to buy up.

I think that week's notice gave us plenty of a heads up. I also think that there were a pretty good amount of Cyclone fans that bought tickets up right away fearing that they would not be able to get any through the University, and now they are looking to resell those they bought two weeks ago. I hope those that are resold mostly end up in other Cyclones' possession.

Looking for a ticket and if someone is looking to share the drive (I’m in the Quad Cities), I’m interested in that too.

Message me if interested.

What is the over/under for number of morons that will show up at the B12 CCG wearing Hawkeye shirts?

Most hawk morons think having the word Iowa on their shirt works for both the cyclones or hawks. Plus it really will be their only chance to go to a game that means something, unlike that scatterbrained B1G conference CCG which was hand picked for one team.

I bought ours the day the Big 12 put them on sale - almost exactly a month ago. I know most probably didn't do that, but I was drinking the kool-aid! OU was 4-2 at that point with OSU/WVU/Baylor left - with how cocky their fans are, I wouldn't be surprised if some purchased tickets at that point, too, just assuming they'd be in for sure.

I'm expecting 60/40 OU at the game, possibly closer to 70/30 around Dallas.

As I've said before, no pandemic and the attendance ratio would heavily favor OU. The Metroplex is huge OU territory. 25% of the OU student body comes from Texas. It's about 2 hours from Norman to Arlington. With Covid the crowd in my opinion will not be a factor.

I usually set it at 3.5 just for myself, I have always wondered why those people exist. Like you knowingly are going to a State game and you decide to wear your team vs any other shirt you own.

There is a circle of hell dedicated solely to Iowa fans that wear Iowa gear to Iowa State games. I'm pretty sure it lies between Anger and Heresy.
