Great effort but that loss was on Prohm straightaway. Huggins just owned him the last 5 minutes by overplaying Bolton and pressing the inbounds pass after the 2 FTs that put WV up one. Prohm never has an answer. My 14 yr old son busted up laughing when the announcer said Prohm is great at inbounds plays coming out of a time out. He’s awful. With 20 seconds left we should have been playing for the winning shot, instead we lose by 5. Steve Prohm has no business coaching at this level.

Not reviewing that last out of bounds was absolutely inexcusable by those refs. They review everything inside a min or 2 and that looked like our ball. If I was Steve I would have been ejected the second it went to 2 possessions.

I dunno about that, guy was chucking up air balls, and had some of his own turnovers, Harris had some significant contributions to the losing side of the ledger tonight.
Neither of them were any good.
He has been calling those legendary timeouts since he got here. We have lost multiple games with Freds recruits those first two years because of those decisions.
But the team showed some fight today , maybe things wont be bad till 2025. I think he needs to become a better coach or get mentoring in the offseason.
Prohm still doesn’t know how to draw up an inbounds play after 6 years. You would think he has time in the off-season to study it watching other teams do it successfully
Well, part of that is Huggy working the refs all night. I wish Steve had that in him. Self does it too, and it works for them.

FT difference hurt but so did 21 turnovers. Tough one to lose but there were a lot of things that we did well that we had struggled with all year. Ball movement was much better, we got a lot of good looks going to the basket and not settling for 3's and we battled them on the boards. They have a huge advantage there but we had more guys boxing out and getting in the lane for rebounds than we had all year.
Do I think Steve Prohm is the answer here? No.
Do I think our team, including Steve showed fight tonight? Yes.
That effort tonight beats SDSU and maybe KState. They need to continue to improve and suprise us.

I’ve been pretty critical of Prohm, but if you guys can’t see that our team took a big step up from last game then you’re blind.
I swear some of you are happy we lost so you can bag on prohm. Mistakes by all coaches and players cost us the game. But good coaching and players made the game close. That’s a positive in a season where we need them.
