Teams like Duke and Kansas have had as many as 10 McDonald's All-Americans on their roster at one time. Not all of those guys get drafted. Not even close. In 2004, Iowa State had just as many guys on an NBA roster (Fizer, Cato, Shirley, Vroman, Tinsley and Hoiberg) as KU did (6) and almost as many as Duke did (9). ISU has had exactly one McDonald All-American and he ended up being the #4 pick in the 2000 draft. So if you are an elite player, I could make a case that you have a better chance of getting drafted by going to Iowa State than by going to KU or Duke. It comes down to playing time. Right now Brackins is getting tons of it. If he were at Duke, do you think he'd get as many minutes to work on his game?
