They are a way better team then OU and we are a better team then Northwestern. They prepare better. We are historically bad getting ready for season starters, bowl games and coming of bi weeks. CMC will fix it in the coming years.

What makes you think Ohio State is way better than OU?

OU's defense has been good the last two months despite the 'B1G teams actually play defense' narrative and they've beaten more than one team with a winning record.

Things we need to have a chance:

- Score on opening drive of 2nd half
- Defense needs to contain their RB. He's had too many runs where he goes untouched the first 6-7 yards
- Mix in an occasional blitz, esp on 3rd down. Force Rattler into bad throws
- Purdy needs to play within himself better

It should have been called obviously.... but how can you not understand as the center that you have to snap that ball..... and it happened twice on that play. They clearly jumped off twice and Newell never snapped it. You have to understand the rules better than that.

So at the end of halves you can't sling it downfield, but at any other point in the game it is and acceptable risk? Any bad thing that can happen at the end of the half can happen any other time during the game. It still doesn't make any sense to me that you don't use the last minute of it the half because of the danger of the result. I get that the analytics probably suggest less reward because you can't count on as many plays, running out of bounds etc. But when nothing has gone your way, you've got to try something risky.
