The really good players will still go pro to cash in. It will be the questionable draft players that may move. This free year stuff is going to turn into a nationwide game of musical chairs.

No one is sneezing at $1.4 million. It isn’t a go now and get $1.4 million or come back and get nothing. It is a go and get $1.4 million or come back and likely still at least get $1.4 million. The question is which choice gives a better chance for making it in the NFL. Depending on his grade it could be coming back or it could be going.Gotta love people sneezing at Butler "only" making $1.4 million. It takes the average college grad 15+ years to make that.
I think the issue is will he be able to further boost his stock at Iowa State enough to justify the risk of potentially getting injured? No one is sneezing at $1.4 million. So which one of you have a reliable source and who's winging it?
But no one is saying he should definitely come back. It depends on where his grade is. If he grades out as a third day guy then I’d probably come back because I think the risk reward is there. If he grades out as day 2 guy then he should go. You also have to remember there are the insurance policies so he can still get something even in a worst case scenario. Besides I don’t think earning potential is going to be a problem for him regardless.I think the issue is will he be able to further boost his stock at Iowa State enough to justify the risk of potentially getting injured?
I’m just not sure that’s the case.
I actually think Soehner might be a more intriguing NFL prospect than Kolar, and I think Kolar will play in the league for a long time. Soehnear has good hands, is a great blocker, and the dude is just a mountain of a man. Kind of feel like we underutilized him this year.
Sean Foster is interesting, I know he had a lot of injuries. And if you told me week 1 I would be saying this I would have said you were nuts. But the last 5 or 6 game, he looked like he was dominating people over there. I think he might be the most improved player from game 1 to game 12 i have ever seen here. I never played at that level so I have no idea what it does to your body, but maybe....I don’t know..if he feels like he could handle it, another year might put him on some draft boards. I might be crazy on that one...just a thought. Don’t know his situation or desire to do it again.
My early readings so far that I’ve seen are round 3-4. I’ve seen him listed as roughly TE #3-5 in the pre draft rankings already. His stock is definitely a solid one.But no one is saying he should definitely come back. It depends on where his grade is. Sean Foster back!!
That's huge. Effectively the same offense as last year minus some tight ends. That's not a small loss, considering their role on the offense, but it's really encouraging. That means all the starters on the line will be back right? Wow!

Yeah and by all accounts we have very similar guys waiting in the wings. One more big play receiver would do wonders for the offense too. That's huge. Sean Foster back!!
Actually it means we have 7 returning starters when you include Downing and Ramos. That means all the starters on the line will be back right? Wow!
Remsburg, Scheiger will have to beat out Simmons.I wonder if Schweiger will move to RT next year with Downings return. He played there a bit in the bowl game.
