I'm not questioning our coaches decision, but I guess you could say I'm bummed Tampa didn't find a spot at WR. I thought he had all the makings of an elite WR including height, leaping ability and pass catching. Maybe his position speaks to his ability to hit

Any other seniors that come back is just icing on the cake at this point IMO. We already had some good depth at most positions we would be fine if none of them came back but Foster and Allen definitely improved things and the skill position players not leaving early other than possibly Kolar was probably assumed. Would love to have Kene back another season but we still have depth at RB regardless and someone will step up for the return role if he doesn't.

Based on what we have seen so far I think it is a clear indication the players know more than the media does about where Campbell is going to be coaching next season. If anyone has been paying attention to what Campbell has said in interviews over the years he loves the challenge of building something and he's always been about building character and team culture and I don't see how everything he has been about since he was a player and now a coach that he would get the enjoyment out of a NFL job where you are paid to manage overpaid egos and not develop young men like he gets to do in college. Hate to use this comparison but remember back in the days when Kirk Ferentz was rumored to be leaving Iowa for the NFL or a bigger job and he never did and it is apparent now he always preferred the college ranks over the pros. Some of us have used Bill Snyder to compare Campbell to at times with the situation he came into being similar but I also can see a bit of Ferentz with it too with wanting to stay the course and keep building a program and doing what you love instead of taking the bigger paycheck and spotlight where you may not have as good of job security nor the satisfaction you get from your current job.

You’ll never convince me that Kirk’s agent wasn’t the one leaking that every few years.

Just saw Lang, Jr. is transferring.

Bummer but don't blame him and good luck to him. I really liked how he went out there as a flanker at times this year.

I thought he was a very solid player. Wearing number 4 on your uniform the last couples of days has been rough. Lost both of our number 4’s players this week.
Good luck to him.

Maybe he has bad hands and has great cover skills

Too bad about Lang. The kid came in and worked hard, gave the Cyclones everything he had including changing positions to make it work. Wish him the best.

Lang seemed to get a lot of throws out of the backfield, swing passes, etc. this year. With the play of J. Brock on 3rd downs, his time was dwindling. Can't blame him for wanting to go elsewhere. Could be a bit of an issue if Kene decides to not come back.

Was there any footage of him running routes? Catching passses? He will get up to speed alot faster on defense than he would converting to the WR spot. Let Heacock have a few weapons.

Not really an issue, if Kene doesn't come back, because Brock will get those carries. Hall and him came in the same year, but Brock redshirted last year, so he can now become the fill in for Hall this year, and then when Hall turns pro next year. Brock will be ready to take over for the next year or two.

In high school, yes. He is a special talent.

Lang seems like a good kid. I think it was clear though that Nwangu developed much further this year than he did.

And Brock started getting some snaps.

Brock looked like Hall did in his first 2-3 games of 2019: you can tell he's a strong runner and once he gets the timing/rhythm of everything, good things will follow.

This is something I just don't understand. If you're a projected first round draft pick, why would you come back? Go and get paid instead of risking an injury or something. I wouldn't think anybody would fault him for it.

Especially at that position.

I have this dream of Brock and Breece being able to be like North Carolina’s RB’s this year. One two punch of dominant runners.

Now that would be sweet.
