Off topic but does Iowa State have a chance to actually win a game today? Miss St looks really bad according to thier metrics and some of the margins of their losses.

This might be the worst team we have left on the schedule besides K-State
Really need Solo to play today to have a chance ... GC just fouls way to much to eat up a lot if minutes.

But winning the big 12 tournament and getting bounced in the first round is not a successful season is what I’ve learned from here

When you have an NBA starter, an NBA roll player, a fringe NBA player, an NBA G-Leaguer, and two others who played professionally all on that roster. Yeah, it wasn’t an overly successful season.

(Holy **** that 2018-19 roster was loaded. And Prohm turned it into a 9-9 team and a first round exit - Wow.)

My thoughts too. Yet we are 10 point dogs today. I’ve made a nice chunk of dough betting against ISU (I take no pleasure in it but money is money), I think there is a ton of value on ISU as Miss St sucks too.

Mississippi State has been pretty competitive in their games. Beat #13 Missouri by 15, beat Florida, lost to Alabama by 8 and Tennessee by 3. Their two leading scorers are going to torch us today.

Just like Prohm stepped into a veteran group, Fred walked out with one.

We can always keep blaming UAB on the Golden tips that made someone incapable of catching a pass.

I don’t see a reason to search for something to blame UAB on. We played like crap and got upset. Happens almost every year in the tournament.

Weirdly, on here the Prohm groupies who were desperate to blame all his failures on Hoiberg or for him to be compared favorably to Hoiberg planted their flag on the UAB game. It was an upset. It happens.

Well, I don't know if I would call myself a Prohm "groupie", but this kind of thing is why I was a former strong defender of his. Please note my emphasis of the past tense here.

My personal (and I can only write for myself here) issue with this whole Hoiberg vs. Prohm debate (if it can really even be called that) as it relates to the NCAA tournament is that some of the same posters who have this attitude about upsets happening every year in the tournament; sh!t happens, time to move on, etc. and who had this kind of "it sucks, but oh well..." attitude about us losing as a #3 seed against a #14 seed in a game that we had a 90+% chance to win were on the same hand frothing at the mouth and practically ready to draw and quarter CSP on the spot for losing a first round game as a 6 seed against an 11 seed.

Losing a first round game as a heavy favorite against a #14 seed is a worse loss in the tournament than losing as a slight favorite against an #11 seed, and it doesn't matter if you worship the ground one coach walks on and made up your mind on Day One to dislike the other coach. Not all NCAA tournament losses are equal, and not all NCAA tournament wins are equal either. I'm happy to agree with others that CFH's NCAA tournament wins are on the balance better than CSP's.

Apparently isn’t quarantined anymore then. Maybe the rumors of him being one of the guys to quit the team is true?

Or he is still in the Big12 Covid protocol, but doesn't have to quarantine.

Cade Cunningham didn't play against ISU or their prior game last weekend, but attended both and sat on the bench. Prohm said there would likely be more guys traveling, but not cleared to play.

Apparently our players aren't allowed to feed to the post to Conditt? I mean, yeah, he's not great, but still.
