A program wants quarterbacks that you can build an offense around. Drew Allar definitely fits that bill...

This kid reminds me of Patrick Mahomes. No, he's not as good as him obviously and no, he's not going to probably be as good as him. His throwing motion and his mechanics are very similar in my opinion.

I had a similar thought. Obviously nobody's going to say he's the next Mahomes, but some of the movements and mechanics look similar to me, too.

Added my top 10 WANTS from this class to the OP.

Those are guys that I love AND guys who I think we have a realistic shot at. Guys like Xavier Nwankpa, Dominique Orange and Jayden Gibson I think we are on the outside looking in.

4L, first thanks for all your work. Really appreciate your info.

I saw you posted yesterday I think our recruiting has shifted to kids that have NFL ability. I was wondering about where we sit nationally to recruits? I'm not delusional and understand we'll likely never get to the Ohio St, Alabama, Oklahoma blue blood level. But are we closing in on the Auburn, Oregon, Florida St level or closer to Michigan St, Kentucky, Cincinnati of the world?

Guess what I'm asking is who are the schools you see us on par with on the recruiting trail based on our recent success?
2021 class is ranked just below Syracuse, K State and UCF.

What’s your point? Our 2018 class that contained Purdy, Trevor Downing, Mike Rose, Will McDonald, Joey Ramos, and Greg Eisworth among others was ranked behind Syracuse, Vanderbilt, Illinois and one spot ahead of Rutgers.
Just answering the question

Interesting that both you and the Hawk boards (sorry to lump you together) both expect that Xavier Nwankpa heads out of state to a name program, yet you feel if he doesn't he is going to ISU and the Hawks say the same but that if he stays in state he is definitively going there. However, don't want that to detract from focus of your post and the top 10...er, Top 11 that we might get. Of those, who do you feel is likely to commit (to ISU or elsewhere) next?
